7 year old with Strep throat

My 7 year old has begun contracting Strep throat from last winter. His throat has the typical symptoms:

Onset of a fever, with headache. Fever climbs rapidly to 102( he has always been prone to rapidly climbing fevers). Swollen tonsils, reddish hue with streaks of red, spots of white on the tonsils. Amelioration with cold water. Difficulty swallowing liquids or solids. Two days after onset, the fever is non-existent except the pain in the throat.

Other symptoms : Mild mannered, physically well built (80 lbs - 49"), mentally intense, easily hurt if made fun of, loves sunny side up eggs, butter, cheese, breads. Lately not very good on vegetables although I do not sense an aversion. Desires carbonated drink (he is limited to it as a "treat" once in a while). Stertorous breathing in sleep( sometimes snoring), early riser. Shy in front of a crowd, shy facing people. Bossy and obdurate.

Very happy and contented child, easily given to reasoning.

He has a history of a medicated birth (before we wisened up!), first day of life was stressful for him due to the lousy medical system we have in this country, he had been a bad sleeper for a good 4 years, breastfed for 5 years, eats a healthy diet and gets a good 10 hours of sleep now. He had a episode at 1.5 years when his fever shot up quickly and he had a seizure from it. No ill effects apparent, but we jump on it the moment he gets fevers.

My main concern is his proclivity to Strep. Are there any homeo remedies that suit his symptoms that anyone can suggest? I hate to give him antibiotics, but I don't want him getting into a chronic state with kidney damage or rheumatic fever if left untreated. But I curse myself everytime I buy an allopathic remedy for Strep.

Any suggestions?

Intellectually very curious, very dogged in pursuing and completing tasks (both mental and physical), physically strong for his age, mentally mature for his age, shy (will speak publicly, but posture is awkward). Very affectionate - desires a lot of love ( which he gets). Very popular with his classmates. Very generous.. Desires a lot of mental stimulation...

Easily vomits food - especially if he is forced to eat something that he does not want. Eats mildly spicy Indian food, Aggravation with bed clothes - kicks it off, sometimes angry during sleep and kicks, heat aggravates (I am thinking Pulsatilla), loves the open air.

Hope this helps..

Thank you for the advise. I will do that. Is there any way that we can cure him of the problem - i.e., reduce the size of his tonsils or lessen the proclivity to contracting Strep?

What do you feel is his constitutional remedy?
