The ABC Homeopathy Forum

To Moderator " Is it possible"

Dear,
most of the people seeking sloutions for their health problems, do not know to explain their symptoms as required to select the best matching remedy for them, so is it possible, if you give some kind of questionnaire on your website, so that the patients easily fill in their symptoms, and get the best prescription.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am also telling that. every time past the formate is not possible. all are thinking it is magic. single symptom will not cure the disease. We treat the patient not to disease. for that all come with proper format.

If you notice (and admittedly, few people seem to), there is a link from the 'post' screen, which goes to:
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/postinginfo.htm

If we have a seperate form, insisting on certain answers, you can guarantee that everybody who doesn't read the link at the moment, will use the wrong form anyway.

We'll address this seriously in the new year; in the mean time, I welcome suggestions as to how to best do this without confusing people

Maybe instead of just NEW TOPIC.
could be TWO
Seeking remedy topic....
General New Topic....

Also then in the "seeking remedy topic", you could list in a column, the basics
MIND........
HEAD.......
EYES......
EARS......
NOSE......
etc etc
then at least they will prompt new comers to homeopathy that the more info given the better the diagnosis.
I think for new people the misconception that one pill treats all comes from some pharmacies listing for example Arnica Cream( bruises).when they find it will help with bruising they think erroneously that another remedey will cure all ills.
So maybe the listing would make them have to write something in that is relevant to their request.

Where is the link?

new2town last decade
OK, so maybe the first thing is to make the link clearer.

Right at the top of the post screen, it says

"If you are seeking remedy sugestions, please *read this first*."

Read this first goes to http://www.abchomeopathy.com/postinginfo.htm

My point exactly, unless you spell it out people are so caught up in trying to get their post written they dont look at anything else, and wrongly assume that for some reason the Link does not apply to them!!!DOH!!!

I too clicked on the link for the first time. I never noticed it earlier.

I never noticed it before either but think that it is adequate and a very good link and probably would have noticed it if I were seeking remedy advice. It is often true that we only see what we want to see!!!
I often read instructions for e.g. washing machines when they go wrong rather than before I use them as I think I know enough!!! Then I find out that I have been using it wrongly!!!

erika last decade
Nobody noticed? Wow, this is incredible...

Drizzle's suggestion of two post buttons seems good, but I would wager that 50% of people would use the wrong button...

Plan may be to force a choice and have a page before the post page (only for new topics) with two links along the lines of:

I want to request a remedy suggestion
I want to post a general new topic

Ask them Are you patient or doctor. if patient then he will bound to fill the format otherewise he will not enter to this forum

I am well aware of that link.It is the most comprehensive. It is the best possibe i ever seen.Physicians can use them with success but for ordinary person it is difficult in the sence that he dont know how to express himself. It is the duty of the physician to guide him.Any how it is best of all.
Best wishes.

Thanks once again for your comments, everybody.

An alternative might be to put the text somewhere in the sign up process for new members; either before the 'join' form, or maybe in the email you get when you join the forum?

That way we avoid asking people to make choices and / or notice something later on.

moderator last decade
The text coming up in the signup process is a good idea.

Your idea is quite good.I think the text should appear not only for new members but in every posting so that every body should know that there is a Remedy Finder and they should make use of that.I think it is practicable.

On thing to do doctors like hpathy.com email and web of the doctors must be on the forum visible. If doctors will not get benifit from your forum why they will spend the time/money/sitting at computer or at your forum. Unnecessary waisting the time . Good practioners are not having time to sit at your forum. Lot of works with them. Always they are busy in his practice.

deoshlok last decade
you are right dr.Sharma,
the doctors who have their own websites, should have to give a chance to promote their practice, and their web addresses should be visible.
the patients who will get prescription online through our websites, will be advised to get the medicine from the abchomeopathy.com, I think the main purpose of abchomeopathy.com is not only to give help voluntarily but also earning by selling their medicine,
so i think with this everyone will be in prophet, patients, doctors, and the retailers.

You can put your web address email in your profile as is, but we had problems for a while with people just responding 'I can help you, contact me'. So we banned email addresses from posts, and web addresses for new posts.

How about, we'll make it possible for people to put in contact details after they have demonstrated a commitment to helping people on the forum? Perhaps as a footer on posts?

A good suggestion.

That's quite nice,
we are giving prescriptions to the people seeking help for their health problems voluntarily,
and it does no matter if you display our web addresses or not,
I from me telling you that I will keep helping the people on this forum voluntarily,
and for the people who want professional help from me can come through my website,
and everyone on this forum knows that since i am posting and prescribing, i do not ask anyone to come to my website.
but my website is for those who want professional help.
and they can contact with me by getting my email from my profile.
I just read a post from Monika, about a fraud homeopath, Dr.B.P Sharma
i am sorry to know this,
but i am telling every one that he is not a homeopath, because a true homeopath do not fraud, a true homeopath has a soft corner in his heart,
and always ready to help.

http://hm.hamdard.com:5050/forms/general_patient.htm

I think this type of form will be good or if any changes needed to the requirment of homeo.

Thanks

Is it possible to really know if someone is a true classical homeopathic doctor? Can we find out? I had just one, a docotor named Kumar, answered my "hot flashes and knee aching" and so far so good. I think he got it right. As long as it took writing it was good for me and I am sure it helped Dr. Kumar come up with his answer.

You can ask the national homeopathy association(s), for the country they practice in, if they are registered as a member. A list of the associations is here:

The post was deleted as all the allegations were subjective and unproven. You can email Monica if you want to look into it:
