The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Request homeopathic advice for irregular heartbeat, bloood pressure, aneamia and their side effects.

Dear Sir,

I am under medical treatment for cardiac dysrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) since last two years.
Because of the side effects being caused by the medicines I am using, I feel myself absolutely shattered. For the past three weeks I am using two homeopathic medicines for throat and voice according to the sought advice from this forum. The medicines are Reckeweg’s R45 and Argentum Nitricum 200. I have felt a significant change by using them, so therefore I have decided to switch to homeopathic treatment.

First of all I would like to know, when I will start using homeopathic remedies, should I stop my allopathic medicines/treatment completely or stop it in slow phases or use them both?

Now I am going to describe my medical history over the last two years:

I am a physically strong 70 years old man, and have served 21 years in armed forces and after that I did labour jobs in The Netherlands for 35 years, except for the last two years.
My systolic blood pressure has been plus minus 160, diastolic plus minus 90, and heartbeat pulse is plus minus 70 for the last two months.
The cardiologist has declared that my heart is in a good shape according to the echocardiography. The valves are all right and there is no damaging. It can be compared to a young man’s heart.

On the early morning of 29th June 2011, I felt my heart loudly beating and rapidly while I was asleep. This happened to me for the very first time in my life and because of this feeling I woke up. After drinking some water and I went back to sleep again. At 07:00 in the morning the same happened again and I woke up and started my daily life activities. At 12:00 in the afternoon the same happened again and I felt suspicious about what is happening with me. So I went to my family doctor as quickly as possible.

After getting there and telling the symptoms that I’ve been experiencing, he immediately took an ECG of me and declared that my heart beat rate is at plus minus 180 and is running a marathon for the previous 12 hours. So therefore I went to the hospital in emergency.
They made me unconscious by narcosis, because they needed to give me 3 electric shocks of 200 joules to correct the heart bate rate. I went back home the same day and they prescribed me the following medicines which I am still using.

1) Sotalol (for heartbeat) 40 mg 1 tablet in the morning and 2 tablet in evening before dinner
2) Phenproucoumon 3 mg (blood thinner) according to monthly calendar issued by Thrombosis Department
3) Nifedipine 30 mg (for blood pressure) once a day
4) Omeprazol capsule 40 mg (for gastric) once a day
5) TEMPORARY USE:
Ferrofumaraat 200 PCH (iron tablet) 3 times a day
6) Cholecalciferol 800 IE (vitamin d)

Perhaps I resumed my job very quickly (after 1 month) and I think because of restlessness and burden the same symptoms occurred again on 14th January 2012, approximately after 6 months. The heart beat rate was plus minus 140 and I underwent the same emergency treatment, but the count of electric shocks was just one instead of three. Again on 28th May 2013, some after 15 months, the same happened again for the third time and this time the heart beat rate was 130. The same emergency procedure was done and they gave me one electric shock.

Because of these happenings and the medicines that I have been taking, I am now suffering from many side effects and new symptoms:

While asleep I feel immense pain caused by cramp in the ankles, and because of the pain I wake up and do some exercises and jumping to dispose the pain and cramp. I also feel extreme pain in the joints of my knees and shoulders. Extreme pain and irritation in my chest.
After every meal I feel burning and irritation in the esophagus. Also after eating something in little quantity the stomach feels fully filled. I feel my upper and lower back jammed all the time and therefore I have to crack. my back to relieve from the pain.

I have undergone many tests for my extreme low level of anaemia (lack of blood), but the results could not tell the cause of it, although I never wounded myself and never lost blood through urination and/or stool. The tests were two endoscopies, namely esophagoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy. However I have to undergo a third endoscopy, the capsule endoscopy (video capsule) that will take pictures of my intestines on 15th October 2013.

So I have decided to not continue any other tests, because I think it is a waste of energy and time. Therefore I want to switch to homeopathic treatment. My sincere request is that you give me an advice for alternative homeopathic medicines.

May God bless you with good health and long life to serve humankind. Ameen.

Best regards,
Abdul Munaf
The Netherlands

NOTE: Availability of homeopathic medicines in The Netherlands is limited, so therefore I always buy the medicines from Dr Reckeweg India Dr.Roshanlal Aggarwal & Sons Pvt.Ltd. as every medicine and potency is easily accessible.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi there,

In reference to you coming off your current medication, do not immediately discontinue any of them, as if you did with sotalol, for example, it would cause you heart rate and blood pressure through the roof and cause possible cardiac arrest. I would recommend if you were to use homeopathic treatment that it is used alongside your current treatment.

Thank you very much for your kind advice with regard to homeopathic medicines taking along with allopathic medicines.

But I am only requesting homeopathic remedy for the side effects mentioned above. I would like to get relief from the side effect symptoms only caused by the medicines.

I have described the symptoms in full detail.

Dear Arifm,

You have complicated issues going on and I think the best
would be to see a homeopath in person to monitor you.

Here are two Dutch homeopaths with a lot of experience.

Peter Guinee in Maastricht

Jerry Van den Bosch in Hulst

If you cannot go and see them I would contact Dr. AadilChimthalawala
Who is a well known India homeopath focusing on heart problems - he
is in Nagpur, two locations, and see if he does online consultations or
can refer you to another person.http://www.indiaheartbeat.com/doctor/profile/36220/Dr-Aadil-....
and see also http://homeoacad.org/tdoctorsaadil.htm

I don't know why the india heartbeat link will not show up
correctly, but his phone number is +91 712 2532008,2522563
