The ABC Homeopathy Forum

need information about crutagous

I would like to know if there are any articles comparing allopathic meds for afib to crutagous or other remedies.

Thank you for your response.

Your response was very helpful. Thank you. My desire is to take crutagous instead of the heart medicine prescribed after pericardial surgery several months ago since afib is still a problem.

You may take 10 drops of Crataegus Q in the morning and evening. You may also see whether few doses of the indicated remedy in high potency help you.

I am taking Losartin. Can I safely take crateagus at the same time?

I know this is a medical question and have been told that doctors don't answer medical questions on this forum.

So far, you have been very helpful. Are you comfortable giving a recommendation about my new question?

Thanks, again.

On the basis of the following information about losartan, there should be no problem with taking Crateagus Q.

Drug Interactions: Hypotensive effect of losartan potentiated by diuretics and other antihypertensives. Risk of hyperkalaemia increases with concomitant ACE inhibitors, ciclosporin, potassium-sparing diuretics and K supplements. Hypotensive effect may be antagonised and increased risk of renal impairment when used with NSAIDs.
Potentially Fatal: Risk of lithium toxicity with losartan use.

I took one dose of Crataegus last night and soon felt it was a mistake because I felt strange - and simply can't put it into words. Tired and just out of sorts Woke this morning nauseated and am still 'out of it' and lethargic.

There appears to be a conflict with the Losartan. I am VERY sensitive to any kind of medication, the environment, etc. but generally in very good health.

I went to a homeopath yesterday to ask questions about crataegus and any conflict with the Losartan and he'd never heard of it.

I emailed a friend who is a homeopath and asked if she had anybody she could ask. She said no, and to Google it. I was not pleased with that response.

I NEED to know for sure if there is a conflict between the drug and the remedy and don't know who else to ask.

These questions won't be answered comfortably as it involves one allopathic medicine and another homeopathic. You better don't take Crataegus Q.

I understand. I've already decided not to take Crataegus since I was sick for two days after taking one dose. I think it's a terrific remedy and had taken it in the past but obviously there was an interaction with the Losartan. I know with certainty that the allopathic med is regulating my blood pressure and heart rate and it will take a several months for the Crataegus to 'kick in'. It could be dangerous to be without any medication for that length of time so I guess I'm stuck with it.

Thanks again for all of your efforts and help.

One more question...will Nux antidote crataegus as it does other remedies?

i think that here problem may be happening due to taking mother tincture. You should see what happens if you take the remedy in 30C potency.

Nux is generally considered as a universal antidote and it should antidote ill effects of crataegus q.
