Res Sir Dr Kadwa - Ringworm problem

Res Sir,

My daughter is 4.9 years old and has ringworm problem in her armpit since the last one year. We apply ointment 'betnovate S' on it, it gets resolved for few days but re-appears again.

You have given me sulpher 30c for my itching problem and it has helped me a lot. Should I give the same medicine to her? Just want to avoid self medication.

I have created this new thread to avoid confusion between my problem and my daughters problem.

Thanks in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you please give the following information in respect of your daughter.

1.whether she prefers warm surroundings ie whether she likes to be covered or she prefers cold surroundings and open air.

2.whether she has a mild disposition or an irritable disposition. How is her attitude towards her friends and relatives?

3.What other physical problems, if any does she have.

4.At what time she feels better and at what time does she feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.

5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting her problems.

6.How is her thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?

7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.

8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.

Sir,
Thanks a lot for your quick and elaborative query. Following are the answers of your query: -

1.whether she prefers warm surroundings ie whether she likes to be covered or she prefers cold surroundings and open air.
Ans: Preferably she likes cold surroundings and open air, but is afraid of bathing in cold water. Enjoys air of cooler.

2.whether she has a mild disposition or an irritable disposition. How is her attitude towards her friends and relatives?
Ans: She has mild disposition and has a friendly nature towards friends and relatives. Its contrary to our (me and my wife) nature.

3.What other physical problems, if any does she have.
Ans: Apart from Ringworm problem in her armpit, she has cavity in 6 of her molar teeths for which we are giving her CalCarea Phosphorica 6x. I have got those teeths filled by a dentist. At times she has small rough patch in her inner thigh area, applying betnovate-s in those area resolves this issue for a longer period than armpit.

4.At what time she feels better and at what time does she feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.
Ans: From her berth she is more active late night. Does not feel like sleeping even at 11 p.m. and is more playful at that time. She like to wake up late and is lazy at that time.

5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting her problems.
Ans: We cannot say the exact cause of this problem, she takes bath everyday so cleanliness cannot be a factor in this case. Likes sweets, hates vegetables. Slow eater, everyday we force/help her to finish her food. Approximately takes half an hour to finish her food. At this age we mostly spoon feed her.

6.How is her thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?
Ans: She likes cold drinks, does not like to drink hot milk/drink. Has very little thirst for water.

7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.
Ans: Her bowel movement is mostly normal, mostly everyday, at times she takes a break of a day. First few months after her birth, she used to take a break of 4-5 days between two bowel movement.

8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.
Ans: She is mostly active and always wants to play around, and is very talkative.

Thanks,
Rajesh Singh

Please give her three doses of Lycopodium 30 as follows and see how that affects in next 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Sir,
Its the 13th day since I first give her Lycopodium 30 but could not see any improvemet in her condition, in fact it has spread to the next armpit where it was never present. We have applied 'Betnovate S' in the affected areas to give her respite from itching.

Thanks,
Rajesh Singh

Tea Tree Oil!!

You can buy it off the shelf in a grocery store & or a vitamin store.

Rub it on the ring worm with a Q-Tip, 3 times a day.
Do this for about 3 to 4 weeks.

If it stings alittle when applying it to her arm, then rub alittle Vitamin E Oil on it.

Please give her Sulphur 30 in the morning and evening for 3 days and see how that affects in next 10 days.

It is not a good idea to use steroid ointment.

Thanks Dr. for the help. Just thinking, if this dose will be more than required for a 4.9 year old child as I was administered a similar dose previously. Anyway I will continue with the prescribed dose, as I know you recommend the best.

Thanks,
Rajesh

There is no pathologically significant medicinal substance in homeopathic remedies. So there is no question of scaling it down for children.
