How's his cold problem? Does he have any congestion?

Do you have sulphur 200c?

(yes go ahead with the 30c dosage you are continuing)

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

He has no cold symptoms: no cough or congestion.

I do have Sulphur 200CH, pillules.

Hi again

Last night was our worst yet, the longest he lasts after being comforted is 20 minutes, then he is bugging at it again. It is focused on his cheeks & temples and on his neck.

Laura, Give him pulsatilla 30c (three doses --every dose 3 days apart) prepared in the same manner. When you report changes, also mention the remaining symptoms in detail.

One thing is out of our way---cold and cough.

Hi Maheeru

Yes! Thank you, I am so glad he is no longer sick with the cough and congestion.

I prepared the pulsatilla 30, and while I was waiting for it I was changing my son into his sleeping clothes and noticed he now had a 'rash' all over his stomach (tiny red bumps, spread out). It looked much different from his face and neck and did not seem to be bothered by it.

I gave him the does of puls hoping a good night sleep might help everything. Well last night was terrible. He would not even lay down, he needed to be held (by me ONLY) and more reclined (lying on me in a chair). Every time I tried to lay with him in bed, even reclined, he would start screaming and bugging at his face and neck.

Today has not been much better. He has been bugging at his face and neck non-stop and is only happy if he has my attention and is in my arms.

The 'rash' is now on his stomach & on his chest and is more dense. A few times he was bugging at it through his clothes but still, it does not seem as intense as his face and neck.

Where we are at:
-He seems to constantly need me (mom)
-His face (cheeks, temples, chin) are very red and scalely, and it oozes as he scratches at it often.
-His neck is just as bothered as is face, although it is more moist all the time as it does not get constant air. (I clean it regularly and gently with a cool wet cloth and get him to look up/back to air/dry it out)
-His chest and stomach now have a 'rash' of many many tiny red bumps
-He does not want to be put down, he plays individually or with is sister for only a few minutes.
-He is waking often (almost every 20 minutes) from his sleep due to the irritation on his face and neck
-He could be teething - lots and lots of drool and chewing
-He chews on everything and anything he can and sometimes it seems to me that his gums are causing him pain
-He still has the extremely red hot spot in his left groin, it does not seem to bother him even when being wiped. Very Very red - normal temp.
-He likes to be cool to cold, does not like to be even the slightest bit warm.
-Everything is worse when he is tired or hungry
-Worse late afternoon (3 to 5 pm ish) and early morning (3 to 7 am ish).

All I can think of, completely exhausted, trying to help him find some relief.

Hi Laura

If he has not benefitted from puls. dose, then do not repeat it. On the contrary if he has felt better after the first dose please complete further doses.

Will go through the new details given by you and will let you know the next step soon.

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

It has been a steady decline since giving him the puls, it has been over 48hrs and he is the worst he has been to date. (please see post above with all details).

I look forward to your thoughts as to next steps.

Thank you

Hi Laura

Now it's time to give him, Chamomilla. Prepare a solution of 30c as you have done before. Give one dose and report changes in 72 hours.

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

During the past 72 hous there has been no change. All symptoms remained and are as they were.

I am at a loss, and am extremely worried about his development as he can not seem to sleep & needs to be held all the time or he will scratch at himself.

Any thoughts in direction now?

Bicknell last decade
Laura

Please give him a dose of Nux vomica 200c in the same manner and report changes.

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

We have seen a little bit of change since giving the dose of Nux Vomica:

He is sleeping for longer stretches up to 4 hrs, however he still needs to be held / cuddled while sleeping.

He is generally happier, and will play on his own or with his older sister for up to 15 minutes.

Still very itchy, and bothered. Other then the mentioned improvements all other symptoms remain the same.

Should we give him a second dose?

Thank you

Laura

Hi Laura,

Sorry you are having such a hard time
with the baby. You must be so tired!!

I wanted to put this out for maheeru,
in that the other lady Janecita also BF
took the nux and then it went into the
baby that way. Just wondering if Laura
herself needs to be looked at in some
way, that would then help the situation.

Not that I know, but wondering.

simone717 last decade
Yes Laura go ahead with the second dose.

Laura try the next dose on you instead of giving to him directly. (Take two to three drops from the bottle as a dose) If this dose benefits him immensely then our dosing mode will change. Take this one dose, and report changes appropriately.

I was going to suggest remedy for Laura too as this all focuses on baby but imagine the stress poor mum is going through and maybe if she was feeling better it would help,
Laura was the birth sudden or was he taken away from you at birth or maybe c section ? Skin issues are related to seperation anxiety if you look up EFT , emotional freedom technique it will help this I did it on my son am for his mild eczema which flared when he went to his own room and it's amazing, you would need a practitioner though and a good one. I hope things are improving

Hi Maheeru

I did take the second dose myself, things remaind status quo.

I meant to write lastnight, but ended up falling asleep with my older daughter.

HOWEVER last night there was a bit of change, my son slept a bit longer and seemed to be mostly bothered in his neck area and not so much on his face.

Today his face looks a bit better, but he is still quite bothered and needs to be held - especially to sleep.

For me, all of the sudden this afternoon I came down with a terrible sore throat (red and swollen) and terrible headache. Not sure if this is a result from the remedy - no one else in our home is ill and as far as we know we have not been in contact with anyone ill.

Please advise as to thoughts on next steps.

Thank you

Laura

Thanks for the note, his birth was amazing and we are very attached :o)

EFT is something to keep in my notes though.

Thanks again

Hi Laura

Take another dose of Nux. yourself. But this time, only one drop as a dose.

Some questions for you:

Have you been sensitive to homeopathic remedies in the past?

What was the remedy you took before nux? when? What was the response then?

Can you write a note on your symptom profile--overall picture?

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

I would say I have had great success with remedies in the past BUT have also been sensitive. I would also say I am a very response sensitive person, in the physical way. Very sensitive to smell, sound, touch ... . However I am the opposite emotionally (have been described as the Ice Queen more then once).

The last remedy I took was prior to the Nux dose was Arnica for a sore throat I had while in Hawaii (it relieved the throat pain). I did take a dose of Arnica 30ch last night as well to help me sleep as the pain was extremely unbearable - it helped and my throat has not hurt since.

On a side note, my daughter and I had both been seeing a Homeopathic Dr. (up until he went on sabbatical just over a year ago) and oddly neither of us were ever give a constitutional remedy.

Last year when I was struggling with a terrible cold I did find the remedies sort of pushed things around - from throat to sinuses then to my chest ... it took awhile to sort it all out. I had never had that sort of reaction / sensativity before - however it turned out I was 3 weeks pregnant at that time.

I do have seasonal, environmental, and food allergies. For over all health I have done and continue to do N.A.E.T. treatments (as do my children), and we all see a NSA Chiropractor.

Since I started typing this response (5hrs ago) I have taken the second Nux does as suggested.

Current symptoms - exhausted, stiff & sore neck and shoulders, head ache, tired burning eyes, lack of appetite. I feel a bit down, weak, overwhelmed, my patients are a bit thin. I feel better with hot drinks, or carbonated drinks and am thirsty all the time. My stomach seems a bit sensitive to anything I eat (slight upset when I eat but it passes shortly after).

What else is needed?

Laura

Bicknell last decade
Has there been any change in you or your baby after this nux dose?

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

Yes, and unfortunately things are worse.

His face (cheeks, and around the mouth and chin) & neck are much worse (very red and inflamed and oozing). As well in his groin (left side) it is very red and he is also bugging at that. He is so bothered that we need to constantly watch him, and changing his diaper is a speed adventure to get it done and keep him from scratching at his face & neck. In the past 24hrs he has only slept lightly, waking easily to scratch.

He is very sensitive to any slightly loud sound be it white noise, talking, music — anything. He seems extremely sensitive emotionally and upsets very easily :o(

As well the hives on his stomach and chest seem a have multiplied and he now has these hives on his arms and hands - they do not seem to be bothering him.

For me, I feel much worse as well. I have sinus congestion and am struggling to get the neti pot to work. What I can get out is very thick and green. I am more exhausted then before (and I even had some good sleep last night as my husband stayed with the baby). My eyes are very heavy. Throat is mildly sore. My mood is: irritable, low patients, and sad.

My heart is really aching for my son, I am just wanting him to start to get some relief and be able to sleep and feel well again :o(

I look forward to your thoughts

Thank you

Laura

Hi Laura

Can understand how hard this must be.

Stop Nux. Please prepare a solution of Lycopodium 200c in the same manner(but prepared in 400ml water instead of 250 ml) as before. Take a drop from this solution yourself. Report changes in you and your baby post the dose.

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

I picked up the Lycopodium 200c yesterday afternoon, prepared it as suggested and took one drop myself.

Changes:

Me: Cold feels much worse, terrible even! Sinuses are even more full and difficult to clear (still very thick and green). Throat is slightly sore again, head ache has returned and I now have a cough. Cough is dry, was worse from 9 pm to 11 pm, feels like a tickle in throat. This morning I coughed up some of the thick green yuck I am guessing due to post nasal drip. However in general cough is dry (non-productive). I do have a history of things moving to my chest, and I am really wanting to avoid that! I have had success with these types of colds NOT moving to my chest using Bryonia 200ch.

My son: Was still sleeping very lightly, however at about 2:30 am he finally fell into a more deep sleep and slept beside me in bed for 4 hours :o) He is still very very itchy, and it is still a constant struggle to keep his hands off his face and neck. He has a new cluster of about 5 tiny hives just under his right ear - they are quite red and hard - he has not tried to bug at these. The crease where his ear meets his head is also inflamed again, and does seem to be bothering him.

At this point I am wondering if to go along with finding the correct remedy for my Son's skin issues if I should be changing my diet again?

Thank you

Hi Laura

Usually infants upto 4 months are best treated by treating breastfeeding mothers. But in this case this seems to be turning counter productive. Additionally your system seems to be less amenable to homeopathy.

At this point, we'll focus on your son's issues.

Yes irritating foods are best avoidable when skin issues are dominant.

---

Give your son, one drop from Lyc. 200c solution, after due shaking upto three doses each dose set apart by 4 days. If there's any negative development please stop the dose and report.

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

Things have once again changed, and seem worse.

Symptoms:

Skin: on face (around mouth, cheeks, chin), on neck and chest, and now one patch (size of a quarter) on his back: red, inflamed, oozing (especially when he is nursing), and when not oozing it looks like hard dried honey. He still has the 'hot spot' in his left groin.

He is constantly bothered by the 'hot spot' in his groin and by his chest. He is CONSTANTLY trying to scratch at one or the other.

He is worse when warm, hot, tired, hungry, or upset.

His is in good spirits, and will play with family however while playing he will still bug / scratch at himself. He needs to be held when sleeping as he scratches at himself constantly.

He now no longer cares to be put in his car seat, and gets quite upset when we need to go out.

I have tried eliminating many things from my diet, as well we have tried many various laundry cleansers. We have also tried various natural organic lotions and oils.

When bathing all that has been used in the past 2 months has been occasional dead sea salt.

I am wondering if I need to help him in two ways here - finding the 'right' remedy to help resolve the problem, as well as treating externally to give him some comfort and to help the skin heal. Is this correct? If so is there something I should be trying topically?

If it would help I can email you some photos of my son's skin.

Thank you

Laura

Hi Laura

Some questions for you:

So he's in good spirits unlike when he was given ars. or cham.?

Have you shown him to any physician? Has there been any diagnosis like eczema, nettle rash or something different?

What were the medicines that were used during pregnancy? What were the issues you faced during pregnancy.

How easy is it for you to get LM potencies?

Topically apply only coconut oil to moisturise the skin and to help the skin heal. Conventional external applications are not advisable.
