Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-11
I gave him the second dose. Today he wouldn't go to his classes and was just paralyzed by indecision/anxiety. He doesn't know what he wants to study. He isn't taking anything but some required classes and an acting class which he went to yesterday. He finally went to one this evening. He seems to feel that he needs to dedicate himself to something completely or he will not do a good job, but then he says that he cannot decide what he wants to be so he is anxious and does nothing. He hasn't changed much since the dose, but he did go to the class.
He took Ignatia earlier, do you mean he should take it again? I feel like his emotions rule him, is this an ignatia trait?

Ignatia? Did you not give him Sulphur, like I said?

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-11
I gave him sulphur. I was talking about the future reference to it.

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-12
When my son came home today he just laid down and he seemed to want attention. He does sigh and he is depressed . He talks very quietly. He says "I don't know" to a lot of questions. I am worried he won't continue with school because of the depression. he quit last term even though he was doing well in his classes. Some kids came by to hang out with him and he left.

He often says that nobody invites him to do anything, and it isn't true. He does not have close friends but he goes with many kids. He says that he didn't get anything out of high school, but he was in the national championships twice for speech. Plus he was in many plays in a leading role. He says he got terrible grades but they were above average. I hope this is helpful to you. I am kind of venting also, sorry.

I gave him one dose of Ignatia 200C.

Was there any reaction to this medication? Anything? And you gave him just one time?

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-12
I gave it to him once. The first day I noted that he gave me two big genuine smiles and made a joke about me telling him to do work. (very unusual, never done this) I noted a few days later that he took initiative to call a friend, the closest friend he has ever had, that we moved away from. He made plans and spent some time with him and went on a bike ride by himself afterwards. These are all things that are out of the ordinary. He has never called his friend without me bugging him about it. and he hadn't seen him for 6 months. He then got depressed the next day after going to a party with some high-achieving kids going to schools all over the country. This is what gets hime down usually. So there was some positive, during the first 4 days.

I thought from the very beginning that this is a Ignatia case, but I did not know you had tried this medication.
After this I mean that you should try Ignatia, again. Start with the same potency, 200C. In water, as I have explained before. Give him the first dose, then wait 3-4 days, if he gets an improvement and then fall back again, give another dose. Wait again 3-4 days, after that you give him a dose of 1M. The same procedure. Take contact with me after this, or perhaps before.

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-15
I am reading about homeopathy and am wondering, isn't it important to give a slightly stronger dose each time instead of the exact same dose? I am planning on giving him ignatia 200c like you said, he is gone for two days.

Re: My son with ptsdFrom Parakletos [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-15
It is almost correct. I give, in such cases, a power, 200C, 3 times, and then 1M, 3 times, 10M, 3 times, etc.
But it's not always need to go all the way to the highest potencies.

(I have many years of study and experience in homeopathy, so I know what I do. :-))

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-19
I gave my son the ignatia 200c on Jan 15. He was in a good mood that day. He had also had a good time the two days before at an event that he went to. His mood declined each day and when he went back to school he was depressed and anxious. I gave him the second dose this morning Jan 18. He is anxious today and in a very grumpy mood. He has a lot of social anxiety about meeting new people. He is anxious about the future because he doesn't know where he will go to school after this year or what he will
study. He just keeps coming around to me and wanting me to help him, but he just looks at me with a depressed look and doesn't like what I say much
What should I do next? I ordered the 1M ignatia but its not here yet.

Is there someone that can help with this?

1. Yes, very much

2. He is not connected to reality in some ways, cannot focus, strong belief that he has no friends, even though he does, this then makes the friendships hard to grow so they end

3. no

4. He has fear around people that are his peers or his boss/teacher, new experiences. not just crowds, only in new situations

5. no

6. no

7. no

8. Yes, he does things too fast so he makes a lot of mistakes

9. no

10. He does have anxiety before he is going to be in situations that have been difficult for him in the past or are new to him

Is he fond of sweets, chocolate? But he gets gas in the stomach when he eats this stuff, and even diarrhea?

Stools may have a greenish color?

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-24
If we have sweets like candy or chocolate around the house he will eat them. He gets addicted to them quickly and looks for them the next day. Since we have wheat intolerance in the family we almost never have cakes or cookies and he won't eat them if they are here. He eats a lot of ice cream when he is depressed and he will go out of his way to buy it. He has gained weight doing this. More acne too. I would have to watch to see if he gets diarrhea or loose stools again. He just started on ice cream again yesterday.

He doesn't have greenish stools. A little yellow, mostly brown.

Re: My son with ptsdFrom Parakletos [Log on to view profile] on 2012-01-25
Based on this new information, I believe that the medicine he needs is Argentum Nitricum. 200C
Same procedure as last time.

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-02-06
I gave him the Argentum Nit. 200C on Jan. 29 and he has had a very good week. He seemed more resilient and motivated to do things for himself. He kept working on the things that he needed to do all week. He was more realistic about school. I will watch, how would I know if he should take it again?

Very nice to hear that your son is feeling better.
What's happening now is that his life force is in full operation. If it stops, you have to give him another dose. If in doubt, please consult with me.

Re: My son with ptsdFrom freena [Log on to view profile] on 2012-02-08
Hi DR. P.

He is still doing better emotionally, but he has a bad sore throat with chills and some dizzyness. He had strep throat last april. He said he thinks he might have it again. Any suggestions ?

Re: My son with ptsdFrom Parakletos [Log on to view profile] on 2012-02-11
Sorry for the late reply. One thing with homeopathy is that old things can pop up again. It is as if the healing goes in reverse. Repair, if I may use that word, the newest first. If he still has sore throat, with chills, you can give him a dose of Arg N 200C. But if he feels better, do nothing. Wait and see. It is very important that we do not give the next dose too early, but finding the right time.
But all in all, this looks good. Please inform if you are experiencing something new.
Dr. P

Hi Dr.P.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. He got over the cold in a few days, so that was good. He does seem to be more grumpy this week now. He is not as focused and he is touchy about things. I still think he is doing better, but I am noticing some decline in the past two days. I will let you know if it continues. Thanks

Re: My son with ptsdFrom Parakletos [Log on to view profile] on 2012-02-14
Thanks for the update.

Maybe you should give him another dose, wait a couple days and see what happens.

Hi,

I hope you are doing well all the over there in Norway. I gave him another dose on February 15th and he is doing well, I see a big difference. This is exciting, although I am afraid to be excited anymore after all the things we have tried. I will keep you updated.
