Hi Nawaz,

I have returned home from my trip. While I was away, the area around abscess got dark again. The abscess itself became enlarged and I briefly experienced a watery liquid yellowish/bloody discharge. Now, it is lighting up again and the abscess has shrank in size. The discharge stopped yesterday. When I touch the surface of the abscess it feels very dry and crusty as though there is an invisible scab.

Although my conference went well, I was under a lot of stress and pressure while there. I am glad to be home. I wanted to run this by you prior to starting the Merc Sol as you recommended before I left.

Thanks for your help

Crystal

Hi, Welcome back. Please start with Merc Sol as suggested, but first take a dose of Sulphur 200C and wait for at least 8 hours.

Good Luck.

Ok, I look forward to a positive response.

Nawaz,

As always, you were right :). I have had a positive reaction to the Merc Sol. The abscess is no longer dry and crusty- although it has been very itchy of the last few days. The area around the abscess has stayed the same- it isn't dark anymore but it is still not the color of my normal skin. I have not had much discharge; when I does its only a few drops, the color is somewhat orange (probably from the combination of both blood and yellow pus).

Also wanted to let you know that I have received the calcarea sulphurica 200C.

Hi Nawaz,

I completed the 7 days of Calendula Q and I have much to report. I waiting a couple of days after the 7 day mark to make sure that my observations were consistent.

- The first few days were noneventful. I abscess seemed to be clearing up (if you recall at this point I had very dry skin around the area and the abscess itself was very crusty with periodic discharge).
- From there my symptoms started to change. Intially the drainage stopped but the abscess began to inflate. This happened for a few days and as it got bigger, it started to be painful.
- During this time the color of the abscess was pale pink and I experienced a lot of liquid-watery light yellow pus. Once the abscess started to go down a little bit in size, the abscess became blood-filled and I experienced a combination of blood and pus drainage.
-At this time the abscess has stopped draining pus but still continues with few drops of blood. The area is no longer painful.

Nawaz,

I have completed the 4 days you recommended. Again, I waited to respond because I wanted to make sure my observations were consistant.

I have noticed that I abscess is the color of my skin. It is no longer blood-filled or pale pink. Around the abscess is still darker and the area is very dry and itchy. I have not had much discharge either yet I have consistently had a scab.

Nawaz,

I took the Sulpur 200C yesterday. Since then, the itching has stopped, the dryness looks better, and the scab is still there.

Let's wait for a couple of days.

Re: Pilonidal cyst/Hidradenitis SuppurativaFrom lillybag [Log on to view profile] on 2012-03-04
Hi Nawaz,

I have much to report:

1) The first couple of days I experienced a lot of drainage. The color of the pus was cloudy and thick- yellow.

2) After the drainage stopped I had a few days were I had a recourring scab. The scab would come off and come back on. It was almost like layers of my skin were coming off.

3) Now I still have a thin scab on the abscess but there is no drainage and the abscess is smaller and flat(not inflated by the pus and stuff).

4) The area around the abscess isn't dry feeling but the color difference is still there. The color is only slightly different than my normal skin though...so i think that might be an improvement. The color of the abscess is kinda red. Not blood-filled red but kinda flesh tone.

Sounds like a plan!

Re: Pilonidal cyst/Hidradenitis SuppurativaFrom lillybag [Log on to view profile] on 2012-03-13
Nazaw,

I finished the Calendula Q that you recommended. These are my findings:

1) The first few days I experienced pus drainage. It was thick and dark/cloudy yellow.

2) When that stopped, the abscess began to scab and pell- during this time it hurt a little bit.

3) For the last two days I have experienced no drainage and no scabbing. The abscess is flat, the color is pale pink. Both the abscess and the discolored area around the abscess look smaller than they did.

I waited a couple days to make sure that my observations were consistent.

Ok. I will start tomorrow. Is it ok to take one remedy and immediately take another or does there need to be time in between? (for the calendula and hypericum)
