Responsibility of Patients?
Of late there is lot of arguments & discussions are going on between doctors.Yes it is good sign that we, each one of us,are trying to express our frank opinions & also at times with a touch of humour as well.But it is very very disappointing that our dear patients appear to be taking us for GRANTED & do not bother to response or give feedback.
I have a few questions for them to examine.
1. How come to start with they show so much of concern & humility in asking for treatment?
2. Is this attitude due to the fact that they do not have to spend any money?
3. Is it b'cos they do not have to stand in long queues at doctor's clinic & wait for consultation?
4. Is it b'cos. they think that we all are here doing nothing else & just waiting to treat them?
5. Do they behave with their doctors back home like this & still get the treatment?
Each patient will have to introspect & ask one's own self, IS IT THE RIGHT WAY TO GET TREATMENT?
I hope & wish they will realise their responsibility.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The patients come to this forum to receive timely help. But, once they are well, they have no time to give feedback. Later, when they run into the same or new problem, they come back.
Consultants on this forum have various motives. Majority of them are nice, God fearing and want to help others in pain and suffering. They get some sense of accomplishment and feel good about it that have done something nice for the humanity. Some are experimenting and learning to achieve their specific goals.
Patients and consultants must obey The Forum Rules, respect each other and enjoy being on this beautiful forum. But, the negative and evil forces are everywhere that damage the purpose of this forum and keep on doing their usual job. Forum Rules must be enforced, otherwise, there is no need for these rules.
Patients must appreciate, show some responsibility and respect all consultants and other patients while getting free treatment by providing feedback in a timely manner.

Most of the patients don't get well. That is the main reason they don't come back.
It would help if there were more consistent results here. The arguments on this board are over that very issue - the lack of use of the priniciples that guide us to those results.

Dear Dr.Kampson & Nawaz sahab,
I respectfully agree to both of your opinions.I also know & accept that our (I can say about me) success rate in our regular practice as well as on forum may not be very high.
But still I feel that once the person is on the forum for the help the human courtesy demands that he/her should give the honest feedback even when the results are not OK.It is not the end of world there are many doctors on forum who can help them with alternative treatment.

You are Welcome Daktersaab! I would like to see comments from our patients. I had several patients come back after 3 months or so to report progress or receive new treatment. There has been a lot of traffic on the forum. Please keep up the good work to make this forum a peaceful place.
