No it will aggravate you first. That is most likely the healing crisis. The remedy should never make you feel better first - that is palliation or suppression and is not a good sign at all. Worsening always precedes improvement, that is the normal direction of cure.

Aggravation usually starts within the first 3 days (if not almost right away), peaks at about 3-5 days, and will usually start fading to be replaced by improvement around 5-7 days. The second week is usually the best in terms of being able to see definite improvements, with the third week showing us how stable those changes are.

Repeat doses can be done at any stage there is obvious relapse or the case appears stuck and not able to move forward on its own.

A strong and quick aggravation is usually a good sign, although some people may aggravate purely because they are highly sensitive, and will aggravate on all remedies (making the aggravation not very useful for determining how good the remedy will be).

Aggravation is when the remedy replaces your natural disease with an artifical but very similar one. This intensification stimulates your vital force into creating an equal and opposite reaction (homeostasis)which results either in cure, or at least in a marked improvement. When the vital force returns to a stable position, it is usually closer to the point of health than it was before.

Don't take anything else. Don't suppress your symptoms. Try to remain calm and focussed on the process as a curative one.

Thanks for this, its reassuring just to know what to expect in terms of aggravation.

The aggravation is continuing but I'm pleased to say that my hayfever has showed marked improvement in terms the aggravation I usually get with my eyes burning and stinging and tickle at the back of the throat. Its much better than usual, which must be a good sign.

Thanks,

Zoe

Hi there,

I'm pleased to say that my hayfever has really improved and I haven't had to take my anti-histamines for over a week. The itchy burning eyes have gone and so has the tickle in my throat. My asthma also is improving.

In terms of mental/ emotional symptoms, a great deal has been coming up. I'm having lots of issues coming up related to identity and feeling a real lack of a sense of identity. There are issues coming up related to childhood and particularly some of the evangelical teaching I was exposed to by my mother which included teaching about self denial (which I took to mean not deny who I was) and being a sinner. I have explored these issues a bit in the past but think I didn't give it enough attention. I think there was an unconscious script there from my mother not to allow me to have my own identity and not allowing me to individuate properly.

I'm also feeling emotionally vulnerable and seem to want approval from people. Its a difficult place to be in but I'm holding on and seeing where the remedy goes.

Are these mental/ emotional symptoms fitting with the Sarr picture?

Thanks,

Zoe
