Hyperactive, Tuberculinum

My son is 5 years old. He is usually very hyperactive. And times gets into fits of extreme rage. When he is frustrated or doesn't have his way he reacts by hitting other people.

My doc. recommended Tuberculinum. I wanted to know if this helps. For those who have used it, how long is it before it takes effect and how does the improvement last. Do we have to use Tub 200 every week?

Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
There are many remedies for angry children, aggressive children, hyperactive children. Tuberculinum is definitely one of those many remedies.

Has your homoeopath not given you all that other information? Surely he or she told you how long to use it, what the effect will be, how long before it will begin to do something?

It is the job of the homoeopath to tell you how to dose your child. You should contact him right away to get those instructions.

There are no standard instructions. It is individualised to each patient, so your doctor MUST tell you how to take the medicine.

Did the doctor warn you of the homoeopathic aggravation (where the symptoms and behaviour will get worse for a short while)? Did he advise you that old symptoms may return and they should not be treated with other medicines? Did he explain to you that the goal of homoeopathy is to cure the symptoms (remove them permanently)?

My Homeopath doesn't discuss all the possible options. He says give him this and waits for us to report the outcome and then he decides whether to change the medication or not.

At this point I am desperate and really want to hear from others who have used Tub and seen its benefits. When do you start to notice the benefits?

If you observed any side effects/aggravation, then please also let me know. How long does this typically last?

While I understand he may not want to talk to much about the remedy, it is his job to tell you what to expect, and how to dose. This is negligence on his part. You really should be pushing him to be a better communicator.

Tub is a wonderful remedy when it is prescribed correctly. If it is right for your son I am sure it will be highly beneficial.

There is no way to know if it is right. The information you have given is very broad and could apply to any remedy. We have over 5000 of them.

The benefits should be seen within 1-2 weeks of taking it. The aggravation will happen within the first 3 days, and may last for a week or a little more.

Side effects will only happen on the wrong remedy. Aggravation is current symptoms or old symptoms getting worse temporarily. Side effects are new symptoms.
