Re: VitiligoFrom lilianam [Log on to view profile] on 2006-05-07
I have had "vitiligo" for 7 years now , diagnosed by 2 doctors and I followed treatments with nowgood effect. the problem is that I am not quite sure it is vitiligo :I have small , almost round, spots the size of a coin on my arms and they are not perly white but you can see the difference between the 2 shades on my skin ; I also know that vitiligo appears with no feeling , they do not hurt but in my case they are red at first and itch , I felt the urge of sratching all the time and then they turned white and no matter what I applied on them they stayed white and itchy. Now they are not dry anymore but they slowly expend. Last summer I got tanned and surprisingly they were covered but in 1 month the tan was gone and the spots were the first ones to reveal. i really want to know if I have any chance with the homeopathic treatements and where to get them .

Lilianam, it doesn't sound like you have vitiligo. It is more likely you have something else, and honestly, it's hard to say what. I'd get a second opinion from another doctor, and ask them to check for fungus. It could also be psoriasis, as that does itch, but usually involves raised skin. My experience with Dermatologists to date is poor. They'd rather slap a salve on it than go the extra mile to figure out what it is specifically.

The fact that your "vitiligo" actually tanned, and then came back later, along with visible shade levels, leads me to believe it's more likely a fungus like tinea versicolor. Anti-fungals and some of the stuff I've spoken about may help. Your tanning description is similar to how I've been noticing my pigmentation return, only to go again after I'm out of the sun. Good luck.

To Lilianam

I too agree with Chiro Student that it is very unlikely that your ailment is Vitiligo and that it is a fungus infection caused by Tinea Versicolor also known more accurately as Pityriasis versicolor, which is a common yeast infection on the body.

The remedy that I would recommend is Ars Alb 30c to be used in the wet dose made up as follows:

Insert 3 pellets of Ars Alb 30c into a 500ml bottle of spring water and shake the bottle hard 10 times to ensure bubbling which is homeopathic succussing. This is done before each dose which is a teaspoonful taken once daily.

Please note that this ailment will take about 2-3 months to be cured and you are advised to change your clothing and bedding often to prevent reinfection by the fungus.

Thank you for your reply , now I have more courage to go to a doctor - again. I know now it might be something else than vitiligo and I hope he can help me cure my condition.

I have had vitiligo for about 15 years. I have gone to GNC and now have Cell Protector and Pycnogenol(50mg) the amino acid, L-Phenylalanine. My questions are how often and how much do I take?

I am a 37 year old black male. I have had vitiligo on my scalp for the past 6 years. I first started getting light spots on my scalp back in 2000. My Dr. informed me that it may be due to stress.

Needless to say, this whole thing has really affected my self confidence. I am currently using Selsun Blue, as I have been told that the Selenium Sulfide can be used to combat the spots.

I am now looking for something else that could perhaps be a cure to my condition.

I have heard about this new vitiligo treatment. The company has offered a two way cure with tabs and ointment, encourage the natural colour to come back within the white patches with the power of natural ingredients. Has you tried or they only featuring vitiligoremedy.

Re: VitiligoFrom Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] on 2006-11-03
The remedy for Vitiligo is Arsenicum Sulphuricum Flavum or Ars Sulph Flav 3x dose 2 tablets taken 3 times daily.

Syphillinum 200 is also taken weekly.

If you treat the ailment at the early stages you have a very good chance of the skin reverting to its original colour but in later cases the treatment will take some time to help.

I copy my response to you email below:

Hi Sanziana,

I have never treated a 2 year old baby for Vitiligo.

In fact I would hesitate to do so as one can not predict the repercussions of this treatment.

It is very rarely that a baby will get Vitiligo and I would advise you to consult your doctors on how to treat it . I do hope that they will not prescribe your child the powerful drugs that are used for this ailment.

Please keep me advised of his progress.

Kind Regards

Joe De Livera

Re: VitiligoFrom elocin [Log on to view profile] on 2007-10-06
Hi
I'm a Chinese girl. I have had vitiligo for almost 10 years. I've seen 2 skin specialists over here in Malaysia and they both prescribed me with the same medication and same advise but none of that work. They also said that nothing much can be done to it. I took the tablets 2 hours before I went under the sun for 20 mins. There was also this cream which I applied at night everyday before bed. However, the medication didn't work at all therefore I'd stopped taking them.

I have this huge white patch on my stomach and it really affects my self confidence. Is there anything I can do to treat this? May I know what is GNC? Thanks.

Hi, Recently my 7years daughter is diagnosed with Vitiligo, and she had only to light brown spots one on her neck and another near her left ear. My family doctor told me before it is skin fungus, but it start expending and then I went to see skin specialist and he told me that she has Vitiligo and I start giving her Homeopathy from Homeopathy doctor. My question is does Homeopathy help in this case, I was also told that if you use allopathic medicine on the skin then it spread more some time. Doctor wrote prescription and said it may or may not help I think it was Protopic. NEED HELP

Re: VitiligoFrom Tevaskin [Log on to view profile] on 2008-09-02
Try to use Tevaskin. It is a herbal medication for autoimmune skin disease and also Vitiligo. If it does not help you you get a refund for it. So you have nothing to lose. It is not good for the eyes area but in your case you can use it. Many people have Vitiligo and Psoriasis together. I think that in your case it is Vitiligo with some Psoriasis and that is why the skin is a bit pink and itches. The liquid I advised you will stop the itching immiditly and after a week will stop the skin from being pink. After a month the Vitiligo will disapear. In ANY case do not use any steroids that a doctor will give you since they just make things much much worse. You can ask anyone and they will confirm.

Re: VitiligoFrom questionevrething [Log on to view profile] on 2009-07-21
I have been living with vitiligo for almost 20 years now. I was diagnosed when I was 18 yrs old. The disease has slowly progressed over the years but the last two it has dramatically spread over my legs, arms, fingers and is now starting to show up on my face. I have recently heard about people that I know, knowing people who were diagnosed with disease actually being "cured" by using selsun blue. I am going to try it but am not counting on it working for the simple fact that Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease and is usually accomanied by another autoimmune disease, specifically Hashimoto's Thyroid which I also have. My advice to people with this disease is to get your thyroid tested regularly, if your thyroid is testing fine get on an ALL NATURAL thyroid support supplement, if you have silver dental fillings have them removed ASAP by a QUALIFIED dentist that knows how to not only remove these fillings but protect you from getting poisoned from them any further. I would also recommend getting tested for mercury poisoning and if test positive find a good chelation regimine to rid yourself of mercury toxicity. For those of us who actually do have Vitiligo and weren't misdiagnosed, I am sure you have experienced some spots actually regaining pigmentation which means there is hope but unfortunately we are on our own in finding ways to treat and hopefully cure this disease.
