Hi,
A few days ago a homeopath with quite a few years experience suggested a way to get rid of acne he said to:
1)Take aconite or rhus-tox.
2)Apply sod-bicarb lotion or sandal paste.
If he comes on to this board maybe he could enlighten us further.
What do you think? |

Thanks for the friendly encouragement Sabra, he said that results can be seen within a week so i will try it for say 2-3 weeks. I am on silica though (handmade) can i add this aswell to the day or should i wait until i finish silica to start do you think?

I don't know about the remedies you mention here, but i would advise you be patient with the silicea IF it's working for you eg. you notice your acne is drying up and breakouts are fewer. I am actually taking the silicea 6x , not homemade - i thought i'd give this a go before making my own and it has really brought about big changes for me on all levels.
Windwaker - the silicea brought everything out at first ...my skin was a mess, but then i could feel it changing , like the texture of it, and the spots dried up fast , and i've had one or two superficial zits but they came and went fast. I don't have bad scarring , but what i did have is really healing over, and basically my skin is taking to the silicea (or vice versa ..) and my skin feels thicker now, like it's not the skin for deep acne to come thru. Also , for me it's constitutional cos i feel much more stabalized and grounded.
But listen , this is just my experience. I think you know with silicea when it's working for you and when to move on. don't forget it is slow and deep acting , so you need patience with this one. But if you're not getting any change, maybe try the aconite - it may suit you better.
Did you try kuldeep's safi/hepar sulph combo ? i remember reading him say he hasn't had a failure either!

windwaker, I think you need to be a lot more patient - you seem to be jumping from remedy to remedy. I suggest you find YOUR remedy (or ask the forum for help) and give that a fair shot. NO chronic skin condition is going to clear up in short time. When you go from Silicea to Graphites to Aco. or Rhus, you are giving none of them any chance to show whether or not they might be working. | | |

Hey Carlotta, thanks alot for your experience with silica that really helped me to get through breaking out from it :(. I am determined to stick to it for longer now.
No i didnt, but i couldnt find the safi so i looked elsewhere for a solution.
Although the only reason that i am looking for a medicine for acne now is because of the silica, it is making me breakout when before diet controlled my acne.

Yeah i know what you mean although i am sticking with silica now. I really was just getting info about the different remedies so that when then time was right i could move on to that remedy.

Hey Tom
The GOOD thing about your breaking out is that it means the silica is working for you. There have been a couple of posts on how upsetting the breakouts are when people have had their acne under control, but perhaps you have to see it as the final breakout-of-breakouts cos everything is coming to the surface now.
It should be drying up and getting less deep an outbreak - if there's no change this way THEN it might be wise to go to another remedy.
Also , I posted on another thread about a lotion I use topically that i think is great - it's by Higher Nature and it has MSM in it as well as other stuff.
