Hi,
Would anyone know who makes this remedy? I understand it to be great for conjunctivitis caused by allergies. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!
Tina

It would be excellent. What do you mean...who makes it?

Do you want a supplier? Right here at ABC I am sure they have it.

Get 30C and take two doses per day for two days. Then a dose or two only if needed.

Less is better with homeopathy.

Blessings, Sabra

Sorry for not being clear. I called my homeopathic pharmacy and they hadn't heard of it so I figured it was a particular brand or blend.

thank you Sabra,

Tina

Euphrasia is a very common remedy. Maybe they need to be informed of this.

Let us know how it does.

Sabra, I am interested in this thread and have a couple of questions for you.

I used the Remedy Finder to help my sister with an eye infection. It indicated Bellandonna, which she took, 30c for 3x in 24 hours. It didn't really do that much, and I thought the healing would be quite rapid. She heard about Euphrasia. Should she take it? How long after she stops the Belladonna? Thank you.

Regards, Joy

Hi,

The diagnosis of "Eye infection" is not sufficient for deciding the correct homeopathic remedy.

You need to tell symptoms like pain, lachrymation, burning, discharge, aggravation, ameliorations etc....

Belladonna should help If eyes are extremely red (blood shot) and feel hot. patient might also have fever. complaints aggravated from looking at bright light/ objects. Throbbing pains. Dry eyes.

Euphrasia on the other hand relieves "acrid" lachrymation. eyes are watery all the time. Thick and burning discharge from eyes causing swollen eye lids.

Please describe the symptoms ...

There is a slight headache, not really eye pain. Not running or discharge. Very red and inflamed. Came on suddenly. Application of moist heat helpful Perhaps she didn't give Belladonna enough time? I will post when I know more for certain. Thank you so much for your help.

Magicure, I have more to report about the eye infection. Slightly throbbing. No burning. No fever. Nothing really makes it feel worse. No sensitivity to light. Has a big red clot on top of the red eyeball. 2 days before she noticed the red eye she felt slightly dizzy and a little nauseated. She lifts heavy objects for her job-works in a school lunch kitchen. She says she has a chronic weakness in her left eye and has had many of these infections in the past. Last one was in 2002. Also, she has chronic dry eye. Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

Hi Joy,

From the history, I dont think that Euphrasia is going to help her.

When did she take Belladonna? What potency? How many times a day? Is she currently taking it? Is there any change in symptoms?

If her symptoms are the same ( red++ eyes without any discharge) then ask her to take Belladonna 200, 5-6 pills on clean tongue, three times a day. Ask her not to eat/drink anything atleast for half an hour before and after taking the remedy.
Discontinue the medicine immediately when there is improvement or change of symptoms

Keep posting about her condition.

Hi Magicure,

Thanks for posting. She did take the Euphrasia 30c twice. It didn't really help (as I suspected). I had her stop everything. Last evening I had her dissolve a 30c belladonna in a bottle of 4 ounces of pure water. She took a mouthful before bed. This morning there is no pain or throbbing. Still red. I told her to take a mouthful (teaspoon) every hour after 2 really hard shakes of the water. I have had success using this method before. We don't have immediate access to 200 potency remedies. I will keep you posted. Thanks.

Today she reports the redness seems to be breaking up slowly. It's definitely not getting worse. She continues the sips.

Today she stopped the sips of Belladonna. The eye feels perfect, but I saw her today and there is still redness in the outer corner up to the iris. this is the first time she has not had to see the MD for this type of thing. What about the remaining redness. I assume it will slowly fade?
