possible reflux in 6 week old
hello, I am new here, so I am sorry if I don't post my question correctly. My son is almost 6 weeks old, and ever since birth he has been gagging a few times a day, it seems to be getting worse. I have been told it may be reflux, but I don't want to give him Zantac, what would I be able to give a baby that little? Thanks!mnk224 on 2010-09-14
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Your baby's remedy is Nat Phos 6x but you will not give it directly to him.
You will take it yourself instead and it will pass over to him in your breast milk. Remember to burp him over your shoulder or seated on your lap to help expel the gas that is the cause of his reflux.
You can take 2 tablets 3 times daily and the bonus is that it will also help you to reduce your weight and get back to your previous level. The standard reduction is 1kg per week. It is absolutely safe to be used daily for as long as you feel that it is necessary.
Report his progress when convenient.
DO NOT GIVE HIM ZANTAC as this is virtually POISON especially for a baby.
Your pediatrician would like to maim him for life and I consider this attitude SHOCKING.
