AutoImmune Hypothyroid Hairloss and Overweight Page 2 of 4

So you are recommending she quit the tea? This is her daily staple. She drinks the green jasmine tea more then she drinks water. Would it be safe for her to have 1 cup per day?

Also...I'm not sure if you can answer this question or not. My mom had stated to me yesterday that she is under the assumption that because she has AutoImmune Hypothyroid, her thyroid has already suffered significant damage and cannot be repaired/reversed. Is this infact true? If so, what type of relief would she see from homeopathy? She just believes that her damage is done and she has to live with this the rest of her life. Is it possible that homeopathy can reverse this damage and get things working again? Thank you for your input.

Homeopathy treats the whole person. Homeopathy doesn't view any part as being separate from the whole. There should be a general improvement emotionally and physically.

I will advise her to cut back on the tea and get to one cup per day. Hopefully this doesn't antidote the Calc-C. I hope she sees improvement soon :-) Thank you again!

Homeopathy considers teas to be as negative as cofee. In most patients it won't antidote a remedy.

What was the response to the first dose?

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
NO response except she has been having severe headaches. Probably because she has cut back on the tea (caffine withdrawls). But I asked her yesterday and she feels no different. :-(

sun27342 last decade
She shouldn't reduce so much that there would be withdrawl. Can resume the jasmine to normal.

Has there been any improvement? Do you observe any improvement, such as relaxation, or calmness in her?

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
Please observe her carefully, and see if you see any improvement. Please report any improvements or different symptoms that she reports or that you notice.

Okay my mother has reported that she has had some improvement over the last couple of days. She only had eggs once last week compared to pretty much wanting to have them everyday. She also has reported slight increased energy and she doesn't feel so sluggish. She also stated she doesn't feel as depressed. She hasn't reported any weightloss or improvement in the hair and her perspiration hasn't changed. How long do you think we should wait for Calc to finish and do you still think we should try the Lyc. Thanks for helping my mom! She definately seems to feel a bit better. I do not get to see her all that often in person but I talk to her on the phone almost everyday.

This is wonderful!

Especially in a patient of this age, the improvement will be gradual, and could last for months. We may not need to do anything, and she could improve slowly over months. Any use of another medicine would just interrupt the improvement.

Please continue to
report any improvements, or altered symptoms.

Over a year ago, I had a similar patient. Woman in her late 60's, with a general Lycopodium constitution, and many more active Calc symptoms.

One dose of Calc led to a year of improvements with nothing else necessary so far. She continues to improve.

I spoke with my Mother today and she seems happy with the improvement she feels but is noticing more active symptoms of acne. She would prior to the Calc get occasional pimples on her face. They would occur very rarely and mostly above/around her eyes. She expressed today that she has 3 active pimples which is unusal for her at this point in her life. She has one on her upper lip and one on her lower lip where she never gets them or hasn't had them in that location for many years. The third one is above the outer corner of her right eyebrow. This seems to be the only 'New' symptom / negative symptom and she isn't overly concerned with it. She just expressed it is 'different'.

My mom also talked to me about her backpain. She has had this lower backpain for about 3-4 years and getting progressively worse over time but for the last 3 days...she has had very little or NO backpain. She said she is 'shocked'! But she is very very happy about it! :-) We will keep you posted!

More active symptoms of the acne and pimples are a very good sign. She must not put any kind of medicine on it at all. That would cause terrible damage. This is psora coming back to the skin, to be cured completely.

Improvements in the back are wonderful. Very good signs.

Looks like the Calc. is working very well.

Please describe what you mean when you say 'this is psora coming back to the skin'? I know you had said this with my case as well and I didn't know what that meant. My mom wants to know what type of damage the topical medicine would cause because she had applied benzoyl peroxide to her current acne. She is hoping she didn't cause any problems by doing this. She will NOT use it. Thank you for explaining this. Oh... can you tell me if you are male or female because I don't know how to refer to you. I just keep saying 'he/she said' :-)

It's ok. You should never put any medicine on your skin for any reason. That applies to any person or any condition. In the future, you should not put any medicine on any acne or skin problems.

When very old symptoms come back in a mild form, that is a good sign. This is especially true with skin symptoms like acne, and is a very good sign.

I'm a man.

In homeopathy, external medicine put on fresh skin diseases is considered to be the cause of major health problems.

When skin problems come back under the correct remedy, you want to avoid suppressing them again.

Okay. I completely understand. I was reading about Psora last night. I understand it for the most part. What do you consider medicine? Are you speaking of anything including lotion? Or do you mean anything chemical based? I ask because I only use natural products that aren't chemical based. Like tea tree oil for example.

sun27342 last decade
If there is a skin condition such as acne, excemz, etc., then you must not put anything on it at all.

There should be some general resources on homeopathy that explain this well.

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
I'd like to find a good link that explains psora and suppression for new patients.

Homeopathy International 1 last decade
If there is psora on the skin, you don't want to suppress it with any kind of outside medication. This can include natural or artificial products.
