Ulcerative Colitis
My friend is diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis in June 2009. Could you please suggest some medicines for him? Recent colonoscopy report says that the colitis is moderatively active. His symptoms include mild stomach pain, urgency to pass stools, mucous and blood in stools ( sometimes reddish mucous), loss of weight and weakness.He is taking the below specified medicines at present : ( he is taking homeo medicines for about 2 months now. Prior to this he was on steroids - tapering doa
Mixture of two Mother Tincture - Holariana AQ and Colosynth AQ - 5 drops in water every 3 hours
Aloe Soc 200 - 4 pills every three hours
Colosynth 200 - 4 pills everyt three hours
Jatropha 06 - 2 drops every three hours
Crotin tig 30 - 4 pills every three hours
He was also given the following medicines, but had to discontinue as it did not suit him :
Kalibichrome - resulted in diarrhea
Adel 11 (Defaeton) - resulted in increased number of stool and fresh blood in stools
He now takes - Merc Cor 200C.
His nature at present -
- very irritable
- averse to light and noise
-craves for good food - especially sweet ( he is on diet)
- weight loss
- doest not talk much
4-5 stools - with mucous and blood ( attimes fresh)
