CHICKENPOX: little moist blisters beginning on trunk of body. When broken, weeps/itches. Fever, uncomfortable. Thirsty, misery. Then into a regular itch and skin misery.
For mothers that are alarmed about SMALLPOX: Always begins on face/hands...trunk last. More like bumps. Increases daily. Belladonna, Variola, Vaccininum. Illness progresses very rapidly. By 3rd day nearly entire body covered. Dangerous to treat by yourself.
For Chickenpox, Choices: BELLADONNA, high fever with red cheeks, dry heat and covering up.
Fever subsides in a few days. This is the catching time, incubation is 3 weeks.
ARSENICUM ALB, more restless and complains of burning, 3am symptoms. fears, may have hallucinations
BRYONIA, more irritable. headache, leave me alone.
RHUS TOX. for the itch. URTICA URENS, if Rhus does not work. (the itch stays at least two weeks or more)
ANTIMONIUM TART, if there is any chest involvment. Cough, wheezing, etc.
DULCAMARA, good for skin description of chickenpox. Dulc good for cold symptoms.
Chickenpox does not have the eyes that need a dim room like measeles. Lots of water. Do not give fruit juices. Too much sugar. Get flavored baby pedialyte to drink. Fresh fruit only.
Many tepid baths with just a LITTLE sea salt in the tub. Maybe one level tablespoon disolved in tub. Let them play. Forget the soap for first week. Pat dry. Do not reuse towels. Wash them.
They won't want much to eat at first. within a week or so the eating returns to normal. Soon the major complaint will be only the itch. I had 3 boys with CP at once. All under 6.
NEVER get Chickenpox shots!!
Also, one does not get them twice. A second bout is NOT chicken pox.

Thanks so much Sabra.
My one boy is completely covered; the other seems to be breaking out more slowly with fewer spots.
I've given Rhus Tox for the itch...and I've used a tea tree based gel directly on the spots which seems to have given extreme relief for the isolated itch.
Fortunately, loss of appetite has not been an issue (not surprising for these two!!!) and life is pretty much normal...minus the field trips up town.
Thanks again, Cheryl | | |

****YOU CAN GET CHICKEN POX TWICE*** comment that a "second bout is not chicken pox" is not always correct. People with compromised immune systems, taking certain treatments can get two or more break outs of Chicken pox. Also, a mild first case, can (and often does) leave a child open for a second break out. My three boys all had 2 break outs, one mild the 2nd full blown. My 6 year old has had three cases, one mild and two full blown. Two cases of chicken pox means call your Dr for advice. | This thread continues beneath the following ad.

My son just finished with his Chicken Pox...at the first sign of the blisters, which I thought were warts at first..but soon realized after the 4th one popped up that they were actually Chicken Pox...I administered Rhus Toxicodendron 5 ch every 2 hours. He continued to play normally. Individually dabs of Eosine lotion on each pox dries them up faster. And rubbing a Homeopathic cream for itching, with calendula and Chamomile, relieves the intensity of itching, and for the larger pox, you can apply individually, a herpes cream (zovirax) for the pain. By the next morning he only had a total of about 40-50 pox only on the torso and a few on legs, none on the face. Rhus Tox. was then administered 3 times a day. By the 2nd day the itching and eruptions stopped, and so did I stop the remedy.

Lets see here. The chicenpox vaccine is manufactured in a natural process...WITH NO PRESERVATIVES. Vaccines have not had mercuricm in them for nearly a decade. I am 40 years old and I have a terrible case of chickenpox. I am also a nurse. My mother Tried to expose me a child to no avail. The risks of dying from an adult case of chickenpox are nearly 1000 times greater than even having a mild side effect fromt he naturally occuring preservative free vaccine. The vaccine has an 90% rate of granting total immunity and most others get partial immunity which greatly reduces the intensity of the diesease. RIght now I have tears in my eyes for not getting vaccinated. When I worked in intensive care I took care of a 45 year old father of 3 who contracted chickenpox form his child. He lives in a nursing home now becuase of viral encephalitis from chickenpox. My physician says his office has administered several hundred doses of the vaccine with 0 complications. he has seen around 15 adults with chickenpox 1 of which died and 5 of which ended up Hospitalized and all of which lost at least 10 days of work. You do the math of which is safer. I hope those of you who are anti vaccine get bit by your opinion.

Just wanted to add my "two cents"
Chicken pox is going around my son's school right now and I have been informed that children that received the vaccine are getting the virus just as often, and to the same degree as those that have not been vaccinated.
Thanks. | | |

paednoch, my opinion is that society would be healthier if young children were allowed to develop a natural immunity. If there is a basis for chickenpox vaccination, it would be older children or adults who managed to miss the disease as a youngster, not for kids.

Well, my twelve year old got the chicken pox vaccination a few years back. Against my wishes I may add and he has a SEVERE case of chicken pox! It's too bad I can't post a picture to verify my statement and show just how miserable he is. My ten year old had the chicken pox two weeks prior, didn't get the vaccination, and his chicken pox were the norm. Go figure. Say what you will about the allopath way and justify as much as you want about how good vaccinations are. I'll be one of the first to tell you where to take your statement and your stupid ideas. The medical staff are taught by what the pharmaceuticals want them to know and that's how to administer DRUGS! It's all about the money, not the health of people. Nutrition, Nutrition, Nutrition and until the allopaths get that through their heads, more people will get sick and die the allopath way! By the way, I was pursuing a nursing career and was disgusted with what was taught. What a bunch of MORONS. If the medical staff truly want to HELP, they need to educate themselves better.

At the insistence of our (traditional medicine trained) pediatrician, our one-year old baby girl received the varicella vaccine. Six days later she had a FULL blown case of Chicken Pox. We are talking hundreds of pox spots. Then the pediatrician finally admits the vaccine can "sometimes" create the infection it is intended to prevent! Estimates are AT LEAST 1/25 vaccinations produce the infection. Now they tell us.
Oh, and it is IMPOSSIBLE our child could have gotten Chicken Pox via contact w/another infected child. Our baby never leaves the house, doesn't go to day care, had no interaction with any children in the weeks prior to infection, and all of us adults are immune.
Yes, the vaccine gave our baby a full on case of Chicken Pox.
Now, I'm not suggesting it is typical for the vaccine to produce the full on infection.
However, I now understand that the MANY traditional medical web sites are LYING in their online articles that push this vaccine and claim "...varicella vaccine NEVER produces an infection..."

I'd stay away from drugs or lotions.
Best way is to find some natural home remedies on the internet to speed up the process, get rid of the itchiness, and make those blisters go away!
Try oatmeal in a bath.
Also certain oils work wonders for the skin.
Make sure to be eating healthy, fruits and vegetables, lots of water, getting rest, and bathing a lot during the day to dry out the skin and let them crust over fast.
There are ways you can speed things up and a chicken pox cure in only 3 days or less.
