no carsick

17. What is the worst thing that has ever happened to you? Describe in detail.

her father, myself and her older brother moved to east coast for 1 yr when she was 3. lived in a very secluded cabin in woods. her father began 90 hr work weeks. beloved dog was sick for 3 months-constant vet appts, phone calls, me trying to save him. he died 3 weeks after we got there. car died we were without transportation for awhile. I was super stressed. I went by ambulance one night to hospital thinking heart attack. then I got pregnant 6 months after we moved and I spent 3 months not feeling all that great. It was a very stressful time for all of us. after dog died she started wetting bed everynight. she had been using toilet and dry since she was 2. then all this started. AFter 2 months I was not very nice about the bedwetting and I finally put her in a pull up, which then she started using when she was awake in bed!!! instead of getting up to go for a pee when she awoke etc. So I said no more of those, now we are back to putting a mat under her every night and trying to remember to wake her up.

18. What part of your life do you have the most difficulty coping with? Why is that?

I get angry alot lately at her. She really frustrates me and gets saucy with me when I yell at her. She's not listening to what you tell her to do so you have to stand there and make sure she does it. She started doing weird things she has not done before like going into my homeopathy cupboard and taking some tissue salts or peeing in her pretend sink while I was in the room. Totally unlike her. I have always been able to trust her.

19. What was your childhood like? Describe your parents and your relationship with them. Describe your relationship with your siblings and other extended family members. Did anything in your childhood have a profound effect on you? Describe your school and college life.

my husband and I rarely fight but he is gone more than he is home. although we are back in our old home now. she is homeschooled. very attached to older brother. adores baby brother- no issues at all. Loves to do anything anyone else wants to do.

20. very clever- learned to ride without training wheels when she was 4.5 yrs old. LOVES to do bookwork, letters, numbers. We have not taught her to read yet. We do not encourage or follow structure but she wants to do it. She COLOURS and draws ALL THE TIME either with you or by herself.

21. What is your self-confidence level ?

hers is really good. very little fear. wants to ALWAYS do what her older brother does. Recently had no fear for her first horseback riding lesson on a very large horse (not pony). all by herself and leading him. LOVES horses.

22. What fears do you have?

Is afraid of dark. Recently started reminding me to lock doors at night.

Used to talk about her 'other family', her other mommy, her other grandpa, her 2 sisters. Haven't heard much about that lately though.

29. Describe all other aspects of your nature in detail.

she is very outgoing. loves people, loves interacting with adults and talking or playing with them. loves other children too but usually is the follower as she is mostly around older children. loves to dance or twirl around for us.

gets very angry at her older brother lately and at me. if she gets in trouble she yells very loud back at me and sauces me, gets VERY ANGRY, doesn't cry right away. whines ALOT, very irritating. Have to give her the words to help her to ask for what she wants.

Took her for chiropractic and cranial work with incredible improvement in her speech when she was 2-3yrs of age.

At 2yrs she only had 10 words and didn't try to talk. Cranial work had her trying to talk all the time.

She seems to make progress, then regress. Possibly when she eats nuts?

While down East she dropped a huge rock on her toe and severed the nail all the way around as well as diagonally thru the toe. Screamed for 1/2 hour. I gave her arnica 200c, hypericum 200c and she never complained again. It was very bad and took a month to heal. After this incident and these 2 remedies her speech improved and we could undertsand almost everything she said, it was incredible. But then she got croup and I would have used different remedies and she regressed again.

Can't seem to find a solution for either the bedwetting or speech issues.

I would be greatful for someone to figure this out for us. So far no one else has.

thanks Wendy

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
hi Wendy....you can give your kid EQUISETUM 12X thrice daily followed by PULSATILLA 200 once a week dose. continue for two weeks. and follow homeo restrictions like no caffeine based foods, no extra spicy ,avoid coming in contact with strong smelling substances like perfumes, aroma oils etc.

wendy, does she feels sad or ashamed about her wetting bed? No water after 6 PM.Make her void urine before going to bed .Make her keep a dairy in which he will write the date and picture of a sun for dry days and umbrella for wet nights. At the end of 1 month give her a reward for the dry days.as u said she draws and paints a lot she would like it.

wendy, does she feels sad or ashamed about her wetting bed?

.....no, despite my anger and frustration I've tried to explain it in terms of 'your body is trying hard to communicate with your brain' etc.

.....also noticed since we had the 'flu nosode' that a few times a week her pants are a bit wet throughout the day while she is playing but it's like she doesn't notice or care. When I point it out, she goes on playng and then I have to INSIST she go change into a clean pair of pants. *this is new*

...also she was in a pullup for a year because I just couldn't handle the laundry anymore and I was out of ideas. Then one night before bed, bedtime got delayed and she was running around playing with her brother before bed. Something made me think to check and she had indeed peed in her pullup while wide awake and playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I confess I got angry and said no more pullups. In the beginning she didn't want to wear them, now it seems she didn't want to give them up.

No water after 6 PM.Make her void urine before going to bed .

.......ok. we ALWAYS have her go right before bed.

Make her keep a dairy in which he will write the date and picture of a sun for dry days and umbrella for wet nights. At the end of 1 month give her a reward for the dry days.as u said she draws and paints a lot she would like it.

........hmmmm I guess this just seems odd to me. Breastfeeding, urinating or hving a bowel movement have always just been 'natural' things that our bodies do and they do them well when we eat good healthy food etc. Praising for this, the whole 'good girl' approach just seems very strange indeed?

I will get the equisetum 12x, it will take a week probably to order. I have the pulsitilla 200c.

thank you so much for the input.

just an update:

4 days so far of equis 12x 3 times/day

3rd night dry all night.

4th night dry til early morning before sunrise(she sleeps with me and i checked her throughout the night)

she is VERY super whiney, angry, sucky, pouting, overreacting crying ie. her snowman 'broke', I made her wear her old snowsuit in the yard - not the nice puple one, taking her older brothers things, cutting her older brothers knitting! leaving baby gate open on purpose!, making lots of noise in the morning to wake me or others up rather then playing quietly as usual.

her speech the last few days seems WORSE..hard to understand.

she is craving rice pasta, bread she's not allowed to have, sweet things like honey, syrup, homemade treats etc.

will give puls 200c in 3 days - 1x per week.

will continue equis for 10 more days as advised?

thank you

wendy

wendypape last decade
ya pls continue to give equis . keep chamomilla 200 handy. give her a dose when she becomes over cranky and angry. it will help her

drpriyadarshini last decade
Here is update. I am afraid I did not read your instructions acurately regarding pulsitilla though.

day 1 - eqis Peed before mid
day 2 - eqis Peed before mid
day 3 - eqis Peed by in a.m.
day 4 - eqis dry
day 5 - eqis + cham 200c dry
day 6 - eqis dry
day 7 - eqis Peed (ate chicken & salad at a restaurant this day)
day 8 - eqis dry
day 9 - eqis dry
day 10 - eqis dry
day 11 - eqis + arnica 200c Peed (smashed head into cupbaord) (ate chili)
day 12 eqis dry
day 13 eqis + pulsitilla 200c Peed
day 14 eqis dry
day 15 eqis dry (ate chili)

* some days we only remember to give eqis 2x instead of 3x.

I wanted to continue for a few more days and I wanted to see if the chili was responsible as well- 1x she ate it and peed, other time no. She has never had chili before now.

The chamomile 200c seemed to make her clingy and wanting to sit on my lap and possibly more angry- yelling and stomping.

Since the pulsitilla she is asking for lots of cold water (usually won't touch cold), wants to sit on my lap, out of the blue doesn't want to share with brothers (she's never had issues at all with sharing), but she is less angry, seems happier, wanting to hum and sing alot.

Worth noting is that we were all given a homeopathic flu nosode (3 in 1 - 10m-I am getting exact ingredients) 5 weeks ago...I am finally realized it's had a very negative effect on us.

someone in my other post has suggested nux 30c for all of us, but I don't want to use it on her if it will interfere with all the work I've done with the eqis these past 2 weeks.

* there also seems to be perhaps some improvement in her speech (which is an issue) from all of this???

* she's still chewing her nails and her shirt. (I recalled just last night that she did this one other time 2 winters ago when I gave her influenzum 200c) I remember because it drove me crazy her chewing on her shirt sleeves all the time.
Where to go from here...

thank you for your time.

Dr. Priya Darshini,

Excellent result.

Is Equisetum 12x recommended for all cases, may be along with other support remedies (I did not find a good remedy for this problem. Even indicated and constitutional medicines fail in my experience)

Also you mentioned 12x, whereas the patient said 2x/3x.

Please detail your experience for the benefit of my patients

With respectful regards

my apologies. I did use 12x (I ordered from this site) but on a few days I only gave it to her 2 times per day instead of the prescribed 3 times. Sorry for confusion.

Wendy,

Thanks for the clarification. I hardly see results in a few days for this tough problem. You are in the right hands.

Hi Dr Reva..Thanks for asking.I have noticed in my experience that nocturnal enuresis in children, without any noticeable cause is very well managed with the help of equis hym .Infact i have tried equis in 200c, 30c...,but they all give hand only in case of urinary infections but not betwetting(as far as i have seen).so i stick with 12x(which has cured many) unless contraindicated.

Thanks and regards :-)

Hi wendy,
I have noted down your observations so far. continue giving her the same medicines. hmm, its better not to give Nux vomica now.it may interfere our treatment. so wait and watch. and also try to avoid giving her spicy foods.

Take care
Priya

drpriyadarshini last decade
yes I will continue tomorrow. I had only given her 1 dose today and was waiting to see how to proceed, so we shall see.

When she had the spicy food that day I completely forgot! This busy time of year has me distracted with 3 little ones. Usually I am much more careful. In fact she's never had anything like it before. When she peed that night I thought OH NO I wasn't supposed to give anything spicy! Of course, then I wanted to try it again just to see ;-)

Shall I give her the 2nd dose of pulsitilla 200c as well in a few days?

I will repost in another week as to how we are making out.

thank you ever so much for your time and expertise. we truly appreciate it.

Wendy

Yes Wendy you can give the second dose of pulsatilla .I know, Its holiday season..., three kids...busy mom....I can imagine how its is. Enjoy :-)

Dr.Priya,

Your observation is very valuable to other practioners. Thanks for the details.

Each potency of the same medicine working for different purpose is some thing I am learning to observe carefully in the past few years. I can completely agree with your observation

Thank you again. I am looking to increase my success rate with one more addition from you.

Kind Regards

Priya.. I wonder if it is ok to give just 1 pellet rather than 2 as a dose to make them last longer? I have enough for about 5 more days if I give the 2 pellets each time.

Perhaps I should order more?

thank you

Wendy

wendypape last decade
Ya you can take one pellet.

drpriyadarshini last decade
WOW, here are the amazing results after 31 days of following your advice!!!!

day 1 - equis peed (before midnight)
day 2 - equis peed (before midnight)
day 3 - equis Peed (in a.m.)
day 4 - equis dry
day 5 - equis dry (cham 200c anger)
day 6 - equis dry
day 7 - equis Peed (ate chicken & salad at a restaurant this day)
day 8 - equis dry
day 9 - equis dry
day 10 - equis dry
day 11 - equis peed (arnica 200c smashed head into cupboard + ate chili)
day 12 equis dry ( pulsitilla 200c)
day 13 equis peed (brown rice/butter)
day 14 equis dry
day 15 equis dry
day 16 equis peed (only gave remedy once- ate chili- peed 1am)
day 17 equis dry (wheat cookie)
day 18 equis - dry (remembered and stopped mint toothpaste)
day 19 equis- dry (pretty necklace given to her for gift (just found out weeks later its amethyst and quartz!)she is so friendly and nice and helpful-WOW))
day 20 equis dry
day 21 equis dry
day 22 equis dry (super cranky)
day 23 equis peed (3am prunes, dates, zeolite this day)
day 24 equis, dry (chili)
day 25 equis, peed (3am, zeolite)
day 26 equis, dry
day 27 equis, dry (citrus)
day 28 NO remedy dry (chili)
day 29 NO remedy dry
day 30,NO remedy dry
day 31, NO remedy dry

* worth noting is that in all honesty it was challenging to remember to give her the equis 3 times per day at Christmas time. Many times I only remembered twice until SHE began reminding me all on her own. 'um mommy, aren't you forgetting something?' and I would say 'what'...she'd say 'my remedy!' and she would laugh! I did not tell her why she was taking the remedy and we didn't talk about whether she was peeing the bed or not. It was just a non issue. Also this treatment has been over the holiday season which is not only busier and more stressful for me/our family but for her as well. It is more challenging to stick to good whole foods without additives etc. when away from home. Normally I would make our own holiday raw food treats but I am so thankful for your help that I wanted to be committed to seeing this through,so we never even missed them! LOL So to have this kind of result at this time of the year is just incredible.
I am out of this remedy now. Should I order another vial and continue for awhile?

thank you so much

Wendy

wendypape last decade
Hi Wendy. Wish You a happy new year..nice to hear from you. So you had a wonderful holidays. Good.
I know how hard it is to keep in track of the remedy doses and also the food restrictions in this busy time of the year. good job. We shall now taper the doses slow and steady instead of completely stopping it. so give her only 2 doses of equis 12x...2 pills per dose...for a week. Depending on the results we will further reduce it to single dose a day. Puls 200 can be given one dose once in two weeks only.

Let me know if u have any doubts.
Take care
Priya

drpriyadarshini last decade
oops i forgot. comment about her speech issues too.

drpriyadarshini last decade
day 32 - no equis dry
day 33 - no equis peed (walnuts, apricots, raisins)
day 34 - to 43 - no remedy, she peed twice that I remember.

Finally received more equis in the mail on day 47! ;-)

day 44 sick aconite 200c
day 45 sick drippy nose/sinuses
day 46 peed
day 47 sick peed (angry-nightmares/screams-culprit I think is potatoes or ketchup has happened before)
day 47 equis twice dry
day 48 equis twice peed 4am
day 49 equis twice peed after midnight (chili) still sick with cold
day 50 equis 3 times dry
day 51 equis 3 times dry
day 52 equis 3 times peed 7am
day 53 equis none 100% CROUP couldn't breath-in shower with steam at 5am - she has suffered croup with every cold ever since whooping cough at the age of 4 months-homeopath prescribed pertussis nosode 16 months ago and only 2 occurences since
(this time I tried aconite 200c, spongia 200c and hepar sulp 200c-no improvement-VERY STRANGE-they always used to work!!)
day 54 no equis bad barky cough, great energy, happy, running around- she got up and peed in the washroom ;-)

*it has been suggested we have mold in our home, which would make sense, we have a drippy pipe in the wall and we wake up stuffy in the mornings, I'm always 'thick' and lethargic, her nose is always stuffed up. Although I also recently started finally successfully growing wheatgrass in my basement-connection???

** this bad barky cough started again today and it was violent, frequent to gagging and almost vomitting, red face etc- BUT I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT!!! I gave her green powdered barley again tonight after returning from the chiropractors (where she only coughed once or twice-although she coughed non stop for an hour all the way over and again on the way back) I started the organic green barley powder a couple weeks ago to help her iron - I'm also growing wheatgrass. 15 minutes after drinking it this violent cough came back and wouldn't stop. I gave her A. Vogel's Pollinosan for allergies and it almost stopped instantly. Rather then every 30 seconds, it's been an hour and I just heard her once downstairs. We moved her upstairs out of the bedrooms to sleep last night where the suspected mold and she hardly coughed til about 3 or 4 am then it was alot through to daybreak.

SPEECH: *important* As soon as she got sick and I gave her the aconite 200c her speech REALLY REGRESSED SO MUCH I can hardly understand what she is saying. It is a bit better since the croup came her nose is no longer dripping and burning her lip. She was talking SO LOUD it sounded like she was shouting but she doesn't realize she is. The cold seems to be in her nose and sinuses (not now) but her words are hardly recognizable even to me and I'm her mother! Others have given up! I have to constantly ask her to repeat herself over and over and over and even to find other words that might be the same as what she is saying. Frequently her 8 yr old brother is able to translate for her. Oh my, it is frustrating. This has happened before when she gets sick and I usually treat first with Aconite. Not sure if it is connected with that or just with getting sick.

Although the equis is helping the bedwetting, I don't believe the equis is helping her speech. Most of the time she sounds like she has marbles in her mouth. We have had times over the last 1.5 yrs where we are stunned with how clear and precise she is speaking and then something happens and it goes away. Allergies??? She just isn't getting her words...like her 's' (she says f instead) she can't say shoe- it is foe or she says 'me do it', 'me went with daddy' etc.

My apologies for the sketchy record taking. I haven't slept in days as my husband has been away and then this sickness hit and I was praying the baby didn't get this croup etc.

Thanks for sticking with this, I truly appreciate it.

Hi Mr.Vikas....thanks for your very valuable suggestion. yes, Calcarea came into the picture. my plan was to resolve the bed wetting issue first, followed by a constitutional remedy which would take care of her speech and generals. You should have seen that she was responding very well to Equis 12x.so lets see for a week with equis. then depending on the reaction we can follow it with calcarea 200 weekly. what do you say?

drpriyadarshini last decade
Hi Wendy. pls continue Equis 12x. also buy calcarea200 and keep .

drpriyadarshini last decade
Dr Priya ,

Calc can be tried straightaway but better to start with 30c , 2 pellets in 250 ml of spring water and one teaspoon three times spaced 45 minutes apart for one day only and then wait and watch
