This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I know one doctor in my city (in India) who is a good homeopath. But he does this thing. After taking the case, he selects one remedy pours, little of it in his hands. Then he pulls out a hair from the head of the patient; touches that hair to the selected remedy in hand and tries to get a feedback from the patient as to how he/she is feeing. Twice or thrice I have seen the patient feel slight pressure or a little better and then the doctor selects another remedy or...may be potency...I do not know. It seems to work sort of...
Is this what you are referring to?

Yes, something like that where the remedy is not given orally to the patient but transmits remotely through the hair.
If this is possible...very interesting...

Though many homeopaths are severely against such procedures since these do not fall into 'homeopathy', yet I have this 'hair' thing being used in front of me.
It did not look to do any harm, except giving the feeling of a small 'pinch' while the hair was plucked out.
Also it seemed that the patient (my family member) was having different feelings when the hair was touched to the remedy. One would say, it 'seemed' to do 'something'.
Personally I am not too against associated methods in homeopathy in so far as the effectiveness and harmlessness is assured.
One can debate on many things. First of all, deliberately plucking hair used to cause boils at that point in the past.
Secondly, it is obvious that in the thoery and practice of homeopathy, there is no such method or methods like 'dowsing (pendulum)'. So why should we apply such method(s)? They do follow the principles and philosophy.
Thirdly, (even if this method follows some other principle), what is the effectiveness, how is it ensured?
We can go on and on....
I think that homeopathy starts to act at a 'vibrational' level. It comes close to or touches the door of spirituality. But like so many people oppose spiritual principles for lack of scientific eveidence (like most people oppose homeopathy on the basis that we do not 'see' molecules of the medicine), so the homeopaths oppose the 'possible higher' methods or things of that sort.
Actually many things are aobve today's understanding of science and if we stick to today's science, we cannot believe it.
Having said all the above, I feel that 'other' or 'associated' methods should be cross checked for their effectiveness and harmlessness. Also, if effective, there has to some person(s) who really know how to apply the methods correctly and especially in synchronism with homeopathy.
