You know that old saying, Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus? It is meant to represent the differences between the genders, well when it comes to a taking a daily supplement, the saying rings true once again. Women need a complete support system that addresses all the common problems we as a gender face. This means we need a supplement that supports our specific hormones, and our common diseases. The same is true for men, and supplement companies are staring to label the bottles differently, because these needs are becoming so apparent.

Since hormones seem to wreak havoc in a woman’s body, causing everything from cancer to mood swings; it is obvious that our supplements need to pay close attention to them. Let me list the top five natural supplements for women, and their effects on the body…more specifically the female body.

Vitex has also been linked to improving conditions such as fibrocystic breast disease, female infertility, and acne during puberty, as well menopausal discomfort, fibroids, and excessive menstrual bleeding. It is also thought that Vitex can help with the bloating discomfort of PMS by acting as a mild diuretic.

Calcium and Magnesium: Because of some extreme marketing techniques, everyone knows that calcium is critical to women to prevent bone loss. However, there are two major key points that those marketing geniuses forgot to mention. The first is that calcium cannot act alone it needs magnesium, and the other is that calcium and magnesium have an effect on nearly every single cell in the body. A deficiency of either of these two can cause some extremely serious health problems…and if it is severe enough death. DIM: DIM is an amazing nutrient that has the medical community standing on edge, and screaming from the roof tops. DIM is a nutrient derived from cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli; this particular nutrient has proven itself against several studies in the fight against cancer. DIM is so effective it has been shown to possibly destroy the human breast cancer cell in tests. Also, DIM prevents the development of breast cancer and other reproductive organ cancers by dramatically decreasing the 'bad' estrogen in the body and increasing the good. EFA: Are a combination of all the essential fatty acids. EFA’s are responsible for supporting and maintaining good health in several systems in the body.
