Toddler with seizures

i'm hoping to get some help choosing a remedy for my 16 month old son. born 2/2008 and began having seizures in 9/2008. diagnosed as west's syndrome, seizures came on when he was falling asleep mostly and happened several times a day lasting 1-2 minutes with short jerking clusters. body would stiffen, head lowered, arms would raise. we chose not to treat with conventional medicine and began a regimen of acupuncture, tui na and herbs. seizures began to diminish over the holidays and disappeared just after new years. then, in 3/2009, seziures returned again but are different. very, very mild - to the point you could almost miss it. stiffening of the body, slight jerking motion, eyes become unfocused and roll back a little. he would have 1-2 a week. we fired up the acupuncture and herbs again and seizures disappeared until today when my son had two mild ones. after his seizures he is very tired and emotional.

for some background, my pregnancy was difficult and i had bleeding for many months beginning at 8 weeks pregnant and lasting into the end of my second trimester. my widwives would do ultrasounds everytime i bled heavily and i had five during my pregnancy. i went into labor two weeks late and after 37 hours in labor at home was transferred to hospital where the doctor would only deliver by c-section because he said my son wouldn't fit for vaginal delivery. we still have many concerns over the truth of this. we refused vaccinations or any other interventions after birth.

my son had terrible colic after he was born and sceamed 12-14 hours a day. he rarely slept and wanted to nurse and be held constantly. he is still breastfeeding now and though he sleeps better, rest has always been difficult for him. he is strong willed, emotional and sweet.

i'm hoping to get some great recommendations on some remedies to help bring him to a place of health and balance. the sleep issues and seizures concern me very much.
