Dr. Sameer, chronic psoriasis patient seeking help from you!

Hello Dr. Sameer,

I’ve been reading your posts on abchomeopathy and I have developed tremendous respect for your analytical and prescription capabilities. I am 32 yrs old male suffering from chronic psoriasis, which is there at every part of my body. It started when I was some 8 or 9 years old, I was attacked by a monkey and had to be given rabies vaccination. After a few days or months (don't remember exactly, i was too young to remember that), I had psoriasis spots all over my body (only body). My father took me to a homeopathic practitioner, who gave me suphur 30 and within days it disappeared. Then my father developed a flair for homeopathic medicine. He believed that homeopathic medicine have no side effects. I used to have runny nose during my childhood. He studied and clamped down upon sulhpur and belladonna as medicines and gave me 1m doses of both morning and evening. After some time I started having psoriasis spots again and he again gave me suphur30 and asked me to have a 20-30 drops in a glass of water and drink it. I did not feel any betterment or worsening of situation.
Then after a few years, things began to worsen. I went to an electrohomepathic doctor, who I don’t know what he gave me. I recovered, only to have it back after few months. Then I went to another homeopathic doctor, again don’t know what he gave but I got no relief from his medicine. The situation only kept on getting worse. Earlier I had a few spots on my body, then I started having it on my face as well.
Then my dad came up with another theory that sulphur in high potency can cure such cases. So he brought sulphurCM potency for me and asked me to have it. I am not sure how often or how long did I have it (it was some 10 years back), but that caused situation to just blow over. I developed psoriasis on every imaginable part. After that I have been going to a homeopathic doctor. Doctors in india don’t tell what they prescribe, so don’t know what he was giving me. I had intermittent periods of relief where I felt I would get rid of this disease in a matter of next few months, but the progress used to stop and then it used to come back to level from which it started. This has been a very key characteristic of my condition - whenever i felt i am gonna get better, it starts to saturate and get worse from there. My doc used to increase the potency when i told him that i dont see any progress, but then it used to bounce back from where i earlier or even before.I followed him for nearly 9 years, believing that he would cure me but now I have lost my patience and stopped consulting him.

I am having huge psoriasis spots on my face, head, ears, behind ears, arms, legs, trunk, neck, armpits, nails, eyebrows…I mean every external part of body. It sometimes itches a lot and when i scratch it bleeds (sometimes, not always). Its been devastating experience for me and its causing me to just survive not live life. I feel bad when people give me stare or ask me what has happened or even try to help with their suggestions. It has very bad impact on my self confidence, although I do carry myself successfully through most of the situations, but I always have it in my mind that I look bad, and I always know I can be better. I want to do so many things in life but it has been holding me back. I want to work on my physical fitness, but I can’t tolerate perspiring. I want to go swimming but can’t, I feel embarrassed to show any part of my body in public. I don’t feel like going to barber because of bad psoriasis behind the ears and on the neck. People don’t understand that this is not communicable and I feel uncomfortable even getting a haircut.

So please help out!! Please let me know if you want to know any other detail.

Okay, so first step :

Buy a small bottle of Sulphur 6c in liquid form, open its lid, and bring it close to your nostril, and take a sharp short sniff from the bottle ONCE. (so that you can feel the smell of alcohol going inside)

Report in 72 hours.

Re: Dr. Sameer, chronic psoriasis patient seeking help from you! From psoriasis1977 [Log on to view profile] on 2009-03-23
Hi Sameer,

I had purchased sulphur 6c on Friday evening and had it as per your instructions. I started feeling better immediately after taking the medicine. There is little improvement i am seeing on my forhead/cheeks/forearms/inside ears.
I could feel the skin getting thinner on these spots. On some other spots where the dead skin was much thick, came off easily. Any attempt to scratch them otherwise would cause them to bleed. I have this habit of peeling off/scratching the spots. This sometimes leaves the tender skin exposed and it burns like hell during/after bath. It was there today too, but was less. Overall I think the reaction was on the positive side.

Thanks,
Navdeep

Hmm... let us give this 4 more days, and then we will start anti-doting the Sulphur.

Update me in 4 days.

Hi Sameer, How are you doing?
Here is the update from me : I am seeing some improvement with the dose that you recommended. The spots on the face and forearms continue to feel considerably better. The spots looks less dry and thinner than before. On rest of the body, i see little to no change. I saw a few new (albeit small) spots on my thighs. I had very severe itching on monday night (especially on back/tummy and chest). But scratching didn't cause any bleeding, however there was burning sensation that followed. Except for that i am also having mild sore throat and a little wet cough. this has been continuing for last 3-4 days. Also had a little fever (~99F) yesterday which went off by itself.

Please let me know how do you perceive these developments to be and let me know if you need any other information. Looking forward to your reply :).

Navdeep

Let us wait as long as you see changes are happening.

Update me in another 2 days.

Re: Dr. Sameer, chronic psoriasis patient seeking help from you! From psoriasis1977 [Log on to view profile] on 2009-03-29
Sameer, Not much changes to be reported for last two days. Overall a week later from the first dose, there has been some improvement on face and little improvement on the spots on other body parts. There was a spot covering my forehead, which seem to be better responding than other spots (including on the face). I started having fever and wet cough probably within a day of taking the medicine, which continued to be there for this entire week, sometimes mild and sometimes a little bothersome. Temperature kept on varying from normal to 99.5F, without taking any antipyretics. I felt like i would catch cold yesterday, but things went normal without any interference. Also on a couple of occassions I felt like i would have a stomach upset, but never really happened. I do have a little fever (99F or so) and mild cough as of today.

Sameer, this is more of a layman question to you, so please excuse me if you feel what a silly question this is :)!! I have been taking homeo medicines for nearly a decade, and i haven't seen the any one remedy having such a positive impact in so short time (as with sulphur dosage suggested by you). I am ready to take puls6c as suggested by you, but I want to understand why we should try a new remedy when we are already seeing benefit with the first one? Don't you think further repetitions of sulphur can help?

Re: Dr. Sameer, chronic psoriasis patient seeking help from you! From psoriasis1977 [Log on to view profile] on 2009-03-30
Another related question Sameer, It has been nearly ten years since I was overdosed with sulphur. Would the symptoms that i have be still caused by presence of sulphur in my body or would it have gone out of system ages back and whatever damage it did continues to just be there? I know you are one of the best brains on abc and you would have a reason to prescribe puls. But just a few concerns hovering in my mind, which i thought would be best addressed by you.

Re: Dr. Sameer, chronic psoriasis patient seeking help from you! From sameervermani [Log on to view profile] on 2009-03-30
The reason you got relief was because the 6c has now replaced the previous higher potencies implanted on your vital force. It is much better to be proving a 6c than to be proving a 10M or a CM.

It also much easier to anti-dote a 6c.

Go ahead with the Puls 6c dose.

Sameer, Thank you so much for addressing my concerns. That really helped! I took the dose yesterday evening. The cough that i was having since i took sulphur dose vanished within minutes of taking puls. I was feeling a bit feverish and weak yesterday, felt better on that one too. Psoriasis spots also look a little better. i'll update you again within a couple of days.

Re: Dr. Sameer, chronic psoriasis patient seeking help from you! From psoriasis1977 [Log on to view profile] on 2009-04-02
Hi Sameer, There has been more relief on top of what we had seen with administering sulphur. The spots on face/left forearm have started looking somewhat diminished. However, yesterday the skin was smooth, today it feels a little rough to touch. spots on head/ ears/ chest also look a little better. Other spots too are having atleast some improvement, if not as much as improvement on face. I continue to have runny nose with thick mucus and cough. Cough is most of times accompanied by expectoration, either by itself or with a little effort. I am not sure if fever is still continuing or not. however, i am not feeling feverish and weak as i was after having sulphur. Itching is still there. A night before yesterday, had a really sever itching around 2 in the morning while sleeping. skin felt as if it is stretched and hurt while lying down, especially on the torso. i could not sleep for a couple of hours because of these problems. also, scratching was accompanied by bleeding and following morning cauased a lot of burning sensation while bathing. yesterday too scratching started exactly at the same time but either it was less or maybe i was too tired to fall off sleep almost immediately. no respite from burning sensation today morning too.

Hi Sameer, Hope this note of mine finds you in the best of everything. So the update from me is that I saw some improvement last week, but Wednesday was when it felt the best. Things started rolling backwards by Thursday morning and kept on getting worse. When I say worse, I mean the skin has become harder, rough to touch and seems more dry. The cough has almost dried up too, but sometime feel tingling sensation in the throat which causes bouts of coughing. It has been better today than before.

Hi Sameer, How are you doing? Sorry for being late in updating you. Things have been very hectic of late. It took me a few days to procure the medicine itself and took it on 10th. For almost a week, I didn't see improvement in situation, infact it was a little worse. I am feeling better for last couple of days. Spots are thinning out, feel softer, dryness is less but not much respite from itchy spots. Imrpovement is there on almost all the spots, so that is another positive. I didn't have any other problem in this period.

Hi Sameer,

How are you doing? I am sorry for being late again in posting. We are having a tapeout in a couple of weeks time and things are really very hectic. I could purchase Conium 6 last saturday and anticipating your next prescription, obtained Conium 30 too :). I had the remedy last saturday evening (night actually). I am not very sure of the impact of remedy this time. I was feeling a little better when I reported to you last time. It continued like that next day. After that things went into a little reverse gear. I am not sure if that has something to do with cyclical nature of my psoriasis. It has been the case with me that when I start feeling positive about my condition then things start to worsen (albeit suddenly) and reverse is also true, when I am completely hopeless then also sometimes things seemed to improve.

So right now, I can't see anything to suggest that there has been visible improvement. A couple of times I felt there is improvement on some spots, but can't say for sure because I so desperately want to get rid
of this disease that I try to pick even the smallest change in my condition and sometimes that turns out to be my imagination.

Hi Sameer,

It seems my last post has somehow eluded your attention. Please excuse me if you found something upsetting in my post. If getting delayed following your advice is the issue then I've learnt my lesson and I promise that your word will be my first priority in life but please don't be annoyed with me, I badly need your help.

Sameer, I am also sorry if you couldn't make head or tail of my last post. I know communicating the right situation to you is very important but with psoriasis, sometimes it is very difficult to make out the progress in 3-4 days. I was not in best frame of mind when I made that post, and eager to give you update.

Firstly and most importantly I would like to clarify that there has been a lot of improvement from the day I started following your advice to this day. I had got psoriasis on my thigh joints and I was even having problem walking, now that is completely gone. I used to have nightmarish time while taking bath, even that has improved. I've spent sleepless nights because of itching, now that has also improved a lot. Other spots have also got thinned except for ones on my stomach. I can see normal skin in the center for spots on my legs.

Coming to the current situation, things worsened a little a day after Conium6c dose. The spots become harder to touch skin outbursts were more. Till a day before I wasn't able to see improvement in that. There were few spots seemed to improve, but I wasn't sure. As of now, it seem to have improved a little more. I can feel one big spot on my left cheek feeling smoother and thinning out a little. Spots in my beard seem to be better and so is the case with spots on my legs. However, there is no improvement in spots on my stomach/forearms. Maybe a little on the forehead, but not sure about that one.

Looking forward to your reply.

Navdeep

I am not annoyed at all, the post just got missed in the flurry of posts. Thanks for bumping it up.

Please sniff Silicea 6c in the exact same manner, and report in 5 days.

Thanks Sameer, it has been such a relief!! I was worried that somehow I ended up annoying you.

I'll take Silicea6c today and report by next thursday.

Enjoy your weekend :)

Hi Sameer,

There has been a new development because of which I have to give you an early update. I am sorry but due to some mix up, I ended up having Conium-30c yesterday instead of silicea6c as suggested by you. However, the impact has been quite positive. The spots are looking better. I cant say for all, but facial spots look 50% better. The huge island on the forehead seems next to drying out. There has been progress on other spots too. Itching and burning is significantly reduced. Overall I am feeling better after this dose. I have not taken Silicea dose as of now. Please let me know what should be done next.

Thanks,
Navdeep
