The ABC Homeopathy Forum

difficult 5 year old

Dear Dr. Sameer,
i am trying to find a remedy to give my 5 1/2 year old granddaughter. Firstly, she wakes up every morning around 6am-7am and is usually miserable and difficult to deal with. She grinds her teeth at night, occassionally cries out at night in a fearful way. Her appetite is very, very poor. She is given vitamins and iron. Mostly, she craves sweets esp. chocolate, (especially pudding), potatoes, chicken, matza balls and pizza. She does not like vegetables nor fruits, likes to be outside. In school, she has an excellent memory and enjoys learning, but she tends to go off into a world of her own. It is often difficult to get her attention unless she's interested in the topic. She's a bit of a space cadet and at times can be impulsive. Sometimes her behavior is wild. She is shy around strangers. she also has some trouble speaking...it is not always so sensible and she seems to be aware of her difficulty. She tends to make 'rituals' of certain things and it must be done her way. She is very strubborn, and insists on being first. She has a little brother and the mom is expecting another baby soon. she tends to worry about her brother, love him while also enjoys pouncing on him. She was once perscribed CHem. and it helped a lot. Our family history includes several relatives with cancer and heart disease, and other close relatives with longevity. yet, much vitality in the relatives. Can you suggest a remedy?

Hi Riva,

Please elaborate more on

'is usually miserable and difficult to deal with. (in morning)'

'occassionally cries out at night in a fearful way.'

' She is very strubborn, and insists on being first. she tends to worry about her brother, love him while also enjoys pouncing on him. '

Also talk about any other odd physical or mental symptoms that you might have noticed ?

What is her response to music ?
