Dr. Sameer I need advice about stomache

Dr.,

My son has had a stomach ache since this Mondays. I gave him Nux Vomica because it fit his symtpoms and personality. He didn't get any better. This Friday morning he complained so much about his painful stomach that I gave him 200c of arsenicum. I don't know if this is the right dosage or the right thing to do.

I need more information about his likes/dislikes , behaviour , temperament , fears , food cravings/aversions and temperature preferences.

Thank you for replying!
My son looks older than he really is. He is only 16 and others think he is 18 or a little older. He developed early. He is tall about 6 feet with dark hair and medium skin. His hair has a few strands here and there of gray. He is lean and is an athlete, running in cross country and track. He is smart but doesn't apply himself. He is very outgoing and loves to talk but yet he gets doesn't like to stay in large crowds. He is restless and irritable at times. With others I hear how polite and helpful and kind he is but at home where he feels comfortable he can say things like 'let's sue them' or let's burn their house down ....if something is not working for him. He gets very angry but doesn't act it out but yet verbally states outloud what he would like to do. He sometimes thinks he is better than some others and exagerates things that he has done. He has always been afraid of the dark. He likes to leave a light on in his room to sleep. He has a hard time falling asleep. It may take him about 1 hour to fall asleep. When he was little he said he saw dark shapes. He was afraid of robbers or someone coming into our house in the night. When he walks especially in the morning his ankles and knees creak. I can hear them. He is hot natured. He loves warmer weather. He sweats a lot when active and sometimes has clammy, sweaty hands. His feet always are sweaty and have a bad odor. He has bad breath also. Loves to eat salty things and sugary things. Loves to eat bread. Loves to be out with friends. Likes to have people around. Is jovial and likes to talk about cars a lot since he just started driving. He is very gracious with others. He can be stubborn. He doesn't see the point of learning certain things in school. Does have some focusing issues because he tends to be restless and impatient. Teachers have always seen a lot more he can do but he chooses not to apply and he procrastinates. He can be very profound and wise. This is happening more and more. He likes to help others with problems, thinks he wants to get into psychology. He is very allergic to fire ant bites and bee stings. Last fall his whole arm swelled up after a bee sting and had to get shots for the swelling.

Okay, then stop all other medicines, and make him stay without any remedy for for 5 days, after that give him the following prescription

Three doses of Lycopodium 30c to be given for ONE single day as described below.

Dissolve 2 pellets of Lycopodium 30c in a 250 ml spring water bottle. If leave the pellets in water for 20 mins, they will melt. You can shake it gently after they have dissolved.

Take a teaspoon from this bottle using a disposable spoon 3 times, spaced by 30 minutes. This is to be done for one day ONLY.

Let me know in 5 days after these 3 doses.

Restrictions:

1/. Nothing should enter the mouth for 40 minutes prior to, or after taking the remedy.
2/. Do not touch the tablets with your hands, tip them into the cap of the container they came in and then into the water .
3/. Avoid coffee, tea (including green), and other sources of caffeine such as some fizzy drinks and large amounts of chocolate, except where this would cause a drastic change in consumption
4/. Avoid wearing perfume/aftershave, or exposure to anything with a strong smell on the day and 3 days following the remedy administration. This includes any and all essential oils, and incense.
5/. Avoid the consumption of excessively spicey foods
6/. The use of medicinal herbs, either as 'teas' or supplements should be avoided during Homoeopathic treatment, as should the use of over the counter medication, unless this has been recommended by an MD.
7/. Nothing of a medicinal nature should be applied to the skin

Thank you doctor!
I will have to go to the store to find the 30c lycopodium since I only have it in 200c. I bought a kit from boiron. Can I do something similar with 200c?

sindym last decade
Please get the 30c.

Thank you doctor so much! I will get the 30c today! My son had a slight stomach ache this weekend but it came on strong again this morning before school. I will give him the lycopdium as you directed on Wednesday since it will be 5 days after the arsenicum dose.

Dr. Sameer,

My son's stomach aches improved a little after the arsenicum dose I gave him. His stomach aches didn't last until noon but stopped at around 9:00 but he still felt the pressure and felt nauseated.
You directed me to wait 5 days and give him the dose of lycopdium. I gave him the lycopdium three times dissolved in 250ml of spring water spaced 30 minutes apart (1 teaspoon each time). This was given last night before bed. He woke up this morning saying that he felt the same but I noticed an improvement in his demeanor. He actually ate something before school. He wasn't eating anything until lunch for the last week and a half. This is encouraging.
I will report back in 5 days. Another quick question is that I noticed he has the sniffles. Can I give him anything if he comes down with a cold? Our family usually takes a product from our health food store that just contains olive leaf to keep colds at bay and it really works for us. Is this O.K.?
Thank you so much for helping me!

sindym last decade
I would prefer if you let the Lycopodium work alone, and do not give anything else.

sameervermani last decade
Dr. Sameer,

It has been 5 days since I gave my son the lycododium. I did not give him anything else as you directed. The stomach aches have stopped!! Thank you so much!
I already reported to you how he felt the day after the lycopodium. He said he did have a slight stomach ache but ate breakfast, which he hasn't been able to do for the last week and a half. The next day he had a very slight stomach ache but it went away quickly. The third day he ran a 5K with his dad at 7:00 a.m. and said he had a stomach cramp the whole time. After about an hour after the 5K run he was fine and very hungry. The fourth day he did not wake up with a stomach ache and was fine. He had a slight temper but was very industrious. Making things with wood, and constantly busy. This is the fifth day and he woke up without any stomach aches at all. I'll report back to you tomorrow. He has had a long holiday weekend and has been able to relax without school pressures. I want to see how he does tomorrow when school starts. He really hates his first two classes in the morning and that is part of his stomach problem, I think.

Thank you so very much! Can you help my daughter too?

Hello again Doctor,

It has not been 2 weeks yet, only a week but I wanted to report to you what has been going on with my son this last week before I forget.

Monday: No stomach ache at all. Good attitude.

Tuesday: slight stomache in the morning but went away quickly. Did not want to eat anything in the morning but ate a snack from his locker mid morning. Attitude fine.

Wednesday: the same as yesterday.

Thursday: same as yesterday. but more pressure in the morning.

Friday: very slight ache but ate something in the morning. He said the stomach ache was more of a dull feeling. He noticed it was there but not the same pressure. About 30 minutes after he ate it went away. Attitude still good.

Friday night from about 10:00-11:00 p.m. he had the same type of stomach ache as the beginning with a lot of pressure.

Saturday: no stomach ache.

Is this normal doctor? He seems to be going up and down. But his attitude has stayed pretty consistent. He did have one incident with his little sister on Thursday I believe because she was being very difficult and he told her to shut up. I reprimanded him and her but he was very angry.

Thank you for your help!

Please keep waiting as the improvements in mood point to the direction of cure being correct.

So, update me as planned.

Hello Doctor,

It has been two weeks now. My son has been having a dull stomache in the mornings and then going away after about an hour. Then about every 2 nights he has a stomach ache in the evening for about an hour. Several times in the morning when we are driving to school and he says he still has a stomach ache he passes gas that smells like rotten eggs. I'm not sure if the stomache ache is more psychological since he seems to not have them as much on the weekends and then Monday morning they start again. However, he does sleep in on the weekends and maybe he just sleeps through them? His attitude seems to be better. Although he is still impatient when things don't go his way. He says school is a waste of time. He really procrastinated this weekend on finishishg up a paper on a novel he read. He doesn't see the point in all this school work. He feels like he should just go and work for a living. I keep encouraging him that the process is what will help him in the future. He seems to be better after I console him but he keeps saying that I don't undertand. In his elementary years he loved building with legos. If it didn't go his way he would throw them. He loved having company and friends over and was very social. He was very popular in Middle School and seemed to just breeze through his classes and get good grades. Now that he has moved to a different school for High School and he is not one of the most popular kids and the work load is more difficult he seems to have become more withdrawn. He still loves building with wood now. My husband and I let him use the power tools and he enjoys this. He is still very talkative but seems more anxious. I'm sorry doctor for rambling, I thought maybe this information would help.

Thank you so very much!

Hi Sameer,

I just sent you an e-mail but I thought I would ask you this question on the forum since it has to do with my son's case.
I gave him the sulpher as you directed 2 days ago and this morning his was passing a lot of gas! It smelled like rotten eggs. Is this a good thing? Is this going to continue?

Thank you,
SindyM

Please keep waiting.

Increased flatulence can happen for a few days.

His body is responding to the dose, and we must not interfere.

We will know better in 1 week.

Hi Sameer,

It has now been a week since I gave my son the sulphur. His stomach ache went away after the third day! Which was Feb. 4th. Today he said he had a slight stomach ache this morning before school. I'll have to see how he is doing after school. The only thing is that he is complaining a lot more! He seems like he is so unhappy with everything. He wants his life to hurry up and get through all of the school work. He is so impatient! I wish that he would just accept what he has to do and do it! He says that he was so used to completing his work without much effort and now he has to put in so much effort to get a good grade. He is very bright but doesn't want to apply himself. His breath also smells bad. He has stopped the flatulance. Do you think the sulpher was right for the stomache ache and something else for his attitude?

Thank you so much for all your help!

Hmm.. this is not good, as this is going against the direction of cure. The correct direction is from center (mental) to circumference(physical). This would mean that Sulphur is not the correct remedy.

Let us let the Sulphur dose run its course completely.

Update me in 1 week from now.

Thank you Sameer, I'll report back to you in 1 week. Just another few things about my son.....He does adjust himself a lot, meaning he touches his genital area a lot like he is trying to adjust his boxers but he's always done this as a small child. He drools a lot on his pillow at night and it is very yellow. It soaks through the pillow case and makes a yellow stain on the pillow. He likes to pick at his pimples and he picks his nose. His room has a musty smell. I have to air it out every week. When he talks it is loud and deep. His adams apple sticks out noticeably. He has been itching his ears and has dandruff. His joints crack when hen walks (ankles and knees). He is very talkative and wants people to notice his accomplishments. He loves company and becomes bored easily. He is very generous with his friends and kind to them. He is very thoughtful around other adults. He seems happy with others and laughs. Like I said earlier, he looks older than he really is but his mind seems younger. He loves eating breads, chicken soup, steak, fried rice, cheese, bacon, pizza, and sweets, ice cream, and chocolate. His favorite is mashed potatoes and gravy. He does like Asian food since I have exposed him to this since I am half Asian. He would drink sodas all day if we let him. He used to eat an incredible amount of food during his growth spurt but now he eats three meals with a few snacks in between. He usually always eats something bready like crackers before bed. He likes the ceiling fan on at night to cool him down. He says that he is hot at night even when it is very cold outside. He doesn't have to have a lot of covers on. He doesn't like tight clothing but he does wear tight t-shirts. He hates turtle necks.

Thank you,
SindyM

Hi Sameer,
I am reporting back to you about my son. It has been a week. I'm not sure what to think. His attitude seems slightly better but anytime school is involved that is when his attitude seems to deteriorate. He does his work and is very bright but he complains so much about it. So in some ways I think Sulpher is right but in other ways maybe not? I don't know. He is getting a lot more creative in his artistic ability's and can concentrate hours on things he loves but is so impatient when it comes to things he does not like to do. He seems to smile to himself a lot. He says he is just thinking of something a friend did that was funny. He laughs a lot with friends and is very social. He acts like he is sure of himself but I know that inside he is unsure.
Let me know what you think.

Thank you!

Tell me ,is he prone to any jealousy ?

Ever observed any cunning or revenge seeking behavior ?

Tell me when you say he is very talkative 'does he also jump topics' ?

How honest is he ?

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,

Yes, he is prone to jealousy, and I have observed revenge seeking behavior. He usually sticks to one topic and repeats what he has already told me a few hours later or a few days later. Is this jumping topics....When a neighbor and I were talking he interrupted our conversation and started a different topic. His honesty depends on what he is doing. I can always depend on him when I ask him to do something. His friends can depend on him. When he says he will do something he usually does it. I encounter dishonesty when I asked him if he finished his homework and he says yes and then I later found out he didn't.

Thank you,
SindyM
