Thanks for the questions. Here are the answers: The alopecia problem started in july 2003. Nothing major seemed to have happened before this. She started her periods a year ago in november 2002. Her menstrual cycle is irregular. She has pitted nails with some white spots. Her appetite is normal. She has hayfever and dust allergy and takes antihistamines for that as and when needed, which is more needed during the period of time between march and october. When really bad she becomes asthmatic and uses her inhaler then. She is a sensitive and affectionate child. She is going through her teen cycle of behaviour at the moment!
If you would kindly advise us on a remedy.

I'm a 48 year old female with a history of patchy hair loss for approximately 3 years. I have had, over those years sporatic patches, no larger than a half dollar that have responded to cortisone injections and the use of Micanol cream. However, this time the areas are larger, there's more of them and I don't want any more injections. The Micanol is burning my scalp and I don'tknow what to do. I am a well controlled insulin dependent diabetic since age 13 and other than "normal" everyday stress, I have not experienced any major traumas that would be a contributing factor. I eat a well balanced diet and have been told that this is probably due to auto-immune factors. My thyroid is healthy. Please respond with some advice before I go completely bald. I'm desperate, not vain. Thank you

Something you said really hit home with me, "not vain." Why is it that if we were on chemo or some other drug and started to lose our hair it would be okay to be upset, but when we don't have a reason for it we end up feeling vain. I'm a 21 year old, and I started with a dime size spot three years ago and now have very large spots, some merging together. I don't have an answer but I feel your pain.

Hi, I am a 26 year old female. I noticed a small dime size patch of hair loss in November of 2003 and this is May of 2004 and I have lost all my hair.
I recently went through a bad break up but this started 8 months later. I had eczema for the past year or two and I was taking steroids since then. Now I stopped everything else and I completely switched to Homeopathy. I dont know why but I want to believe in something. I hope I made the right choice. I dont have any hair on my scalp and I am slowly losing all the hair on my body. I dont know what the outcome will be.

has anyone gone through this and used Homeo? Or do you know anyone who used homeo for Alopecia totalis? Please do let me know. It is a little reassuring to find out that it works.
Thanks
-Shanti

My age is 21.I am using permanent hair colors for the last three years. Now I feel that I have lost a lot of hairs at the back of head.At first I have some kind of allergy at the back. But then I started to use non-ammonia based hair colors and result is quite satisfactory.I can feel reduction in allergy.I want to know my disease and remedy for it.Is there any solution of premature greying in homeopathy.

I have been successful in controlling the loss of hair in many cases with Arnica 6c to be taken with any good Fish liver oil and Vitamin E.

Dose 2 balls Arnica 6c 3 times daily. 1 capsule FIsh oil and Vit E daily.

You should notice a reduction of your hair loss in 2 weeks and new growth should be visible in about a month.

Suggest you also read the many other posts on this BB on the same subject.

i m also having dandruff and some kind of infection at the back of head.please suggest a remedy for that.

infection is of deep red color.

I would suggest that you take Sulphur 30c just one dose of 3 balls per day preferably at night, under the tongue for a week and post results.

Johnson's Baby Shampoo is also recommended as it is very mild and may help your problem.

I have Alopecia areata, it began 3-4 months ago. Currently have 4 spots, the original location has grown to be rather large, while the other 3 remain around the size of a quarter or a half dollar. I am currently being treated with cortisone shots monthly, though i am wondering if a homeopathic treatment would help. Looking for suggestions.

i am a 25 year old female and i have had patchy hair loss since i was 16. i strongly believe that it was caused from a vaccine. i have been to doctors and specialists, i have tried everything. Nothing has worked. i have spent hundreds on remedies, and thousands on wigs. Currently i am seeing a naturopathic doctor. i have been taking a tincture and i have never been more excited!!! it has taken a while but i am seeing hair in places that have been lacking for well over a year!!!!! i believe there is a cure and no medical doctor can help find it. the cure is within us, and alternative medicine is the way of the past, brought into the future.

I have helped a few persons who were suffering from both Alopecia and from Hair Loss with Arnica.

Please search under my name on ABC for both terms and take it from there.

alopecia is an autoimmune disorder. my patchy spots occured after i got the hepatitis vaccine. my system went into "shock". i have not had a full head of hair in almost 9 years. that vaccine is notorious for side effects. my naturopath is using a therapy called A.R.T. along with a tincture, multiglandular vitamin, b5 and b5 complex. this is the only thing that has worked. no topical steroid that makes scalp burn, no injections.all natural. and no more vaccines!!! side effect research is poor, we have no idea what they are going to do to us in the future. i am one minor case of thousands.major side effects of this vaccine include MS, alopecia, brain damage, and the list goes on. naturopathy is the way to go!!!

The most working prescription which I have seen as given by my Sir is Flouric Acid 200 3 dose daily -- a specific for alopecia aerata for 5-6 mths at a stretch and flouric acid 200 as local application once a fortnight which treats almost 90 percent cases.
Still the cases which do not respond to this== an intercurrent remedy like tuberculinum or bacillnum is given.

And do try Joes prescription too-- as his medicines also works like a magic.

Hi There,
Is that anyone can tell me , Is it a good idea to take Phosphoricum acid and fluoric acid together in 200c dose 3 times a day ..let me know if it is rignt combination

No. It is a very bad idea.

Never take two medicines togeher.

Try with one first, cautiously, and stop that too in case you get any new troublesome sypmptoms, which may occur, if you take the same medicine in unchanged opotencies for a long time.

Most of the time this problem is related to sudden stress.

Hello, I too, Shashank have noticed increased fallout in the back of my head - I have my hair professionally 'highlighted' and I feel that may be the cause ! I have decided to just stop all hair colourings all together. I will be watching the posts on this forum to see how you are doing. Good Luck to all.

I think my hair loss could be from the hepatitis vaccine also. I also have mercury toxicity that I am doing IV chelation & other protocols to remove.
What is A.R.T, tincture & multiglandular vitamin. Where can I get this. I am in the US.

I was born with alopecia and so was my mother. No one can tell me why. None have helped the condition improve. All have taken my money.
