A competent, knowledgable Homeopathic prescriber will never prescribe for a disease name.

There are many many homeopathic medicines to cover complaints like constipation, diarrhoea, headache, arthiritis, hair loss and the medicine that works for you is arrived after considering what are known as PQRS (Peculiar, queer, rare and strange) symptoms.

There are many questions that are to be answered, before deciding about the homeopathic remedy.

There are no quick fixes in homeopathy. Please understand that the advice you get, on the scanty information you give is nothing but guess work.

Do you really want to take chances with a 'hit or miss' style of prescriptions?

The misconception that homeopathic medicines can't suppress, can't harm, irrespective of the method of administration, selection of potency, mixing them, giving them one after the other without gap, etc, stem from taking a too materialistic view that there is practically no medicine in them, that, even at 3X, there are only a few molecules.

All of us agree that they are capable of fantastic cures with a single dose,if the remedy selected is the correct similimum.

If you just pause and think back, it stands to logic that such powerful medicines (irrespective of the theories regarding how they derive that power), can do harm also, if prescribed without caution.

Keeping this in mind the administration methods are evolved so as to cause the least damage, even if a mistake is made in the remedy selection.

Similar remedy..

Single remedy..

minimum dose..

helps the homeopathic physician to correct quickly, in case he makes mistakes.

All first prescriptions can't be the similimums, for obvious reasons like inadequate data, non availability of enough symptoms, lack of experience on the part of prescribers..etc..etc..

So, it is better to proceed cautiously, and observe for response, after a few days.

That is why quickly changing medicines, are frowned at in chronic cases.

Prescriptions like, take 1M of 'x' medicine today, and take 30c of 'Y' medicine from the next day onwards are fraught with the danger of spoiling the case.

We will find many cases progressing beautifully on a single medicine, one at a time therapy, getting totally spoiled after these hasty prescriptions.

You can see many examples of this happening on this forum itself.

Hello,
I am 19 years old, and have been noticing rather drastic hair loss for a little over a year now. I always used to leave a few hairs on the back of my shirts now and then, a few in the shower... and this past year its 10+ at a time. Every shower scares me, I stopped brushing my hair in fear of it all coming out. I went to a dermatologist for help over the summer at home and all they said was theres nothing I can do its from tying my hair up. The roots are done producing hair because it has been pulled out so many times. I didn't agree with that because it has never been like this, always very little. He also advised me to cut my hair off to save the other roots.. never tie it up. I am a scholarship athlete I need to. I've been an athlete my entire life but my 1st year of college seemed to be the problem. I changed schools because I wasn't sleeping much and was unhappy.. hoping it was anxiety or something in that nature that I could change being in a more comfortable environment. Had my thyroid tested for sleeping issues, no problem there. I've always been a healthy athlete. I try taking a multivitamin every day, changed shampoos. Nothing has changed. I'm seeing more and more of my scalp.. I hold my hair in my hand and wonder where the other 2/3rds of it went. I've been trying to read all these posts, but its really overwhelming with all the different combinations of vitamins and oils I've never seen/heard of. If anybody has any solid recommendations.. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hello Dimp,

You posted this in 2004 and I have no idea if you will get this or still suffer from excessive shedding. I think I can help you!!!!! I too started shedding hair at 18 and didn't stop until age 23. I managed to keep things under control until about age 28 when I stumbled onto something. I too went to doctors and was told about Rogaine, I tried acupunture, you name it, I tried it. And though a quality prenatal (I used Women's Symmetry OB Multivitamin) got things under control, my hair would still shed excessively at times, especially if I didn't take my vitamins. I did a 10 day herbal clense through Advocare about a month ago and my hair has stopped shedding. Before doing the clense I was afraid that it would make things worse, but after reading that clenses can help skin issues (hair can be a skin issue) and hearing that a coworker's psoriasis went away after doing Advocare's clense I was ready. It worked for me and I want the whole world to know. I know what it is like to not want to leave the house. I became obsessed with hair, looking at other's hair, and hated seeing any shred of shed hair anywhere. The clense was the best $30.00 I have ever spent on myself. If you are reading this and are suffering, talk to your doctor about doing this clense. There was something toxic in my body and it appears to be gone. I'm not a doctor, but am an educated women who desires to live a healthy and happy life, this worked for me and I can only imagine that it could work for others.

i have the same problem and tried many different things. another remedy that I have recommended is Matthew Gardson's method. Do it every day. Not only your hair loss will stop, your hair won't get aged quickly either.
