Osteoporosis - Knee Joint Pain in Elderly Lady

Elderly lady among my relatives, about 58 yrs old, has Osteoporosis (knee joint degeneration). Doctor has given medicines but says that he may soon need to give injections in the knee to give pain relief. Has advised excercises and all but says that largely this condition cannot be reversed by medicines.

So I'm looking towards Homeopathy to give me a solution.

Request any professional homeopath to advise a Remedy please.

Try one medicine at a time, atmost for a week and observe.

Multipharmacy with homeopathic medicines is likely to make the patient worse in the long run.

Try argentum metallicum first in 6c potency for a week and stop.

Observe for one more week before deciding whether it helped or not.

She has been taking Argentum Metallicum for the past 6 - 7 days, but there is no noticeable difference in her knee condition.

What do you suggest we do next?

Another thing - she is also taking Ashwagandha Q (Withania Somifera) for the past few days to improve her Nervous exhaustion. She is suffering from Hyperactivity of the Brain and gets exhasted very easily. Gets angry at the slightest provocation and talks a lot. She gets better with Allopathic medicines but she avoids them and doesn't take them.

Can we give her any homeo medicine which will work on all her conditions? ......Hyperactiviy of the brain, Nervous exhastion, Short temper, Talks a lot sometimes, Osteoporosis, A bit overweight, Dry and thinning hair, Very emotional at times, cries at the slightest thing

I had knee pains when I was 13 after an accident while riding my bike home. I started becoming immobile coz I couldn’t stand the pain. I tried several exercises and even knee braces but it didn’t work. My mom made me drink Supple. As what I researched, It’s a daily supplement drink to comfort, lubricate and rebuild joints. Supple has only 30 calories and only 4g sugars so it also helps you lose weight [I lost weight too! I LOVE IT! :))] and fits into the energized lifestyle you need to get your joints back in top condition. After drinking Supple for 2 days, i felt amazing relief. I continue drinking it until now. I recommend you to try it. It really is effective.

As you may know, Osteoporosis is a disease that makes bones become brittle and more porous. One in four Canadian women over 50 have osteoporosis.

I'm here on behalf of Novartis for their new Osteoporosis Awareness campaign, On the Go Women, which aims to educate women on the disease and stresses the importance of managing the condition with treatment and a healthy lifestyle.

There are many factors that determine whether a woman is at risk of Osteoporosis. We’ve developed an Osteoporosis risk assessment tool for you to use and share. At this link you’ll also find a Personalized Conversation Starter – to use when discussing Osteoporosis with your doctor.

These tools are invaluable health resources for any women – even if they aren’t at a high risk for Osteoporosis themselves, they can be shared with mothers, sisters and friends who are.
We’ve also collected some recipes for Osteoporosis-fighting foods that might be of interest as well!
