This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
These are only your words Mr Rishimba, not mine. Sucess though, btw, is not my motivation, it is mereley an added bonus.

I am not 'explaining my case', I am explaining the reasons why certain practices are wrong, and promoting the correct way, which is one of the reasons I am here. The reason for the 'Hahnemannian (and Kentian btw) references', I thought would have been obvious, or have you forgotten how this noble science you are using began?

Good that makes two of us then, although I am not here simply for 'entertainment', I am here to help others, and educate those who have become somewhat 'wayward' in their prescribing methods. How this is perceived by those who may feel threatened by this, is of no concern to me, my only interest is in the promotion of the truth. Homoeopathy to me though, is not simply a source of entertainment, and never will be.

Indeed, but I am not here for personal empowerment, just to educate those who follow incorrect prescribing methods, and to use the correct methods to cure (rather than palliate) patients.

This is not a 'theory' Mr Rishimba, it is something which can be freely observed over and over in a clinical setting, and has been for almost 200 years. It is a naturally (or rather unaturally) existing phenomenon, produced by the application of palliative remedies. Why would you ask this though, this is part of basic training, were you not taught this at college?

Dear Franki, this is indeed almost certainly a good sign, and something I would consider to be a return of symptoms, just leave him be, do not give him any other medications, and this should resolve itself soon.

you are here to promote hahnemanian homeopathy and thus its in your interest to explain to the forum members the following

- whats the reason for palliation. why it happens at all.

- how a palliative remedy different from one used for acute prescribing.

- how would you go about treating day to day ailments like flu, cold and cough, stomach disorders, headaches etc. do you think acute prescribing for palliating the symptoms is not homeopathy at all.

- if palliation is so dangerous, as being preached by some hanemanian homeopaths, why RECKEWEG remedy mixes are so popular in the world.

Okay then, if you feel this reqires explanation:

What is the reason, and why does it happen? this doesn't make sense, elaborate.

Palliation only ever achieves temporary relief of symptoms, this is it's nature, so there is not really a whole lot of difference when it comes to ACUTE prescribing, as acute diseases will mostly resolve themselves, even under this kind of treatment, as this is THEIR nature. However, in CHRONIC disease, because palliation provides only temporary relief of symptoms, as evident by the need to continually apply the substance in question to keep the condition at bay, even if this at long intervals, cure does not come, as this is only achieved by the application of the substance which will remove the condition permanently.

This would depend on whether such complaints are acute or chronic. Colds and Flu obviously fall into the acute category, and are an example of genus epidemicus, in most cases, but even here, we must ask if such 'infections' are occurring with regularity, and if they are, there must be some underlying cause which makes the patient so prone to these. Stomach disorders, headaches etc though, if they are recurrent, and do not have any obvious 'external'/lifestyle cause (such as stimulant consumption, bad diet/food poisoning etc), may be either acute or chronic, and it must be ascertained which is the case before deciding on the mode of treatment employed, which may be easily achieved by looking deeper into the case.
If these ARE indeed chronic in nature, then palliation/acute treatment of these will do nothing in the long term, and no, I would not consider the acute treatment of these complaints, in this circumstance as anything more than mongrel Homoeopathy.

I have no idea what 'RECKWEG' mixes are, but combination remedies in general are popular amongst the public, simply because this type of palliation will provide the quickest form of relief which may be obtained, and people will use this until it ceases to be of benefit. They are popular amongst 'non-classical' prescribers, simply because they require only a fraction of the effort or skill involved in finding the actual similium for the case.
They do not cure anything though, except very occassionally, where the ONE remedy required is present in the combination, but even in this circumstance, FULL cure is rare, because the vital force is only really capable of reacting fully to one dynamic 'substance' at a time. Mostly they just provide immediate relief of symptoms, but even here, if they are used for indefinite periods, and the case is chronic, the end result will be an eventual supression of the symptoms present, which results in the underlying disease moving deeper into the body, and attacking more important organs.

I hope this answers your questions.

thanks organon, for answering some of my questions which were infact posed to get these answers from you that ACUTE prescribing is nothing but palliative homeopathy and its very much in vogue.

my initial question was: why palliation happens... i meant to say, if a remedy can create a temporary response of the vital force ( manifesting in some palliation )in an ailing economy, why doesnt the temporary response become a permanent one.

now, talking about these RECKEWEG remedies, these are infact low potency palliative remedies. i agree with you that in some cases, they prove curative because of the reason you have explained, and thus they are popular with the masses. i am still to hear from anybody that low potency homepathic remedies have suppressed any of their symptoms especially when other suppressive agents like analgesics, deodorants and sweat suppressors are not raising the eyebrows of the medical fraternity.

finally, i dont feel threatened by anyone here as i have nothing to gain or lose from abc. i just try to follow the middle path based on my experience with a sole objective to treat the ailing.

people have their own style..
in prescribing. the one which is 'wrong' to your school of thoughts may not be one to a clinical homeopath.

what r ur thoughts..?

Man stays mortal, first job is to bring the immidiate relief so he sees faith in you and in homeopathy.

If you give him immidiate relief, he is all available to you in surrender -- or dedication -- then you calculate the philosophy to work upon.

i didnt get answer to the rest of my questions..

could you please educate me.

Hello,
This is Franki. My son ran high fevers this week and had semi nosebleeds almost every day. I hope this is almost over as I did worry excessively this week.

franki last decade
Hello Franki,

Are these semi-nosebleeds better than what used to happen in terms of the amount of bleeding ?

How is the fever now ?

Sameer.

sameervermani last decade
Hello Sameer,
Yes the amount of bleeding was significantly less.
The fevers have stopped also.
All that remains right now is a phlemy cough and stuffy nose.
My mother did comment that his cheeks looked very rosy yesterday.

franki last decade
Let nature take its course. His body is healing . No more doses for now.

He will feel significantly better in about 2 weeks from now.

Sameer.

Hello everyone.. I am giving an update on my son. For the last 2-3 weeks he has had small nosebleeds at nite (about 8). Also, he has a loose cough during the nite. It disturbs his sleep and has to sit up. Sometimes he gags but he has not spit anything up. One doctor said the cough was not in his chest (about a week ago but the cough continues)
He has not grown an inch. Does anyone have any advice?

Franki

franki last decade
Do the nosebleeds come while sleeping ?

sameervermani last decade
yes, the nosebleeds happen 95% of the time while he is sleeping.

franki last decade
Okay , some questions:

1./) How is his temperature preference ?

2./) How organized is he ?

3./) Does he like cleanliness ?

4./) Does he act selfishly ever ?

Sameer

sameervermani last decade
franky, you can try MERC SOL 200C three doses on a single day at 4 hours interval.

wait and watch for next 2 weeks and report.

rishimba last decade
Sameer,
These are the answers to your questions:

I believe he prefers warm to cold.

He is organized and neat. Also likes to be clean but is not obsessive.

Lastly, he is the most agreeable, non-selfish boy I ever met. He is always trying to do the right thing and will give up something of his if his brother/sister is upset. At 8 years old, I am amazed at his sensitivity to other people's feelings.

Rishimba,
Could you please tell me what MERC SOL will be treating? His cough?

Thank you both!

Franki

Silicea will have to be my first choice here.

However, beware that Merc Sol and Silicea do not follow each other well. So, DO NOT try one after the other.

In view of his sensitivity to remedies, I would like to start low, at 6C.

Just 3 doses of Silicea 6C at 3 hour gap and then report status in 3-4 days after that.

Sameer.

merc sol covers nose bleed while sleeping associated with cough.

rishimba last decade
franky,

based on your input, the child's nose bleeds 95% of the time when he is sleeping.

if i am to frame a rubric on such typical symptoms, the closest is SULPHUR and MERC SOL.

silicea probably doesnt cover nose bleed while sleeping. however, generals are close to silicea and can be tried.

rishimba last decade
If you notice Rishi, my questions above were to confirm Sulphur itself but it was totally negated by the answers given. The child's mentality is not close to Sulphur or Merc-Sol.

It is true that Silicea doesn't cover nose bleeds 'during sleep' , however it does cover the generalities, his nature and nose bleeds in general.

Also, him being small and not growing also points more to Silicea.

sameervermani last decade
Hello Again,
I am writing again about my son. He has been doing well. My main concern is his growth, or lack of growth.

I never did give him the Silicea. I get a little confused and nervous....I do not want to cause him any discomfort or harm. However, if you would be kind enough to go through this with me again, I would sincerely appeciate it.

In February of this year, I gave him phosphorus. The nosebleeds had stopped for a while and now he gets them sparingly.

His doctor has termed him 'Idiopathic Short Stature' which means that they do not know why he does not grow.

I noticed tonite that his fingernails are brittle and the skin around his fingers is peeled and rough.

Any information you can give me to help him grow would be most helpful. Again, he turned 8 in March and his almost 6 year old brother is the same size.

Thank you,
Franki

Hello Franki,

Welcome back :)

Good to know that his nose bleeds have improved now.

Brittle nails are just confirming Silicea even more.

Give him just 3 doses of 30C in exactly the same manner you gave him Phosphorus.

I am sure it will benefit him.

Hi Sameer,
One pellet in water, three times in one day....is that right?

I will probably do it over the weekend. Just please tell me, should I expect reactions from this remedy. When I gave him phosphorus he ran high fevers. What should I look for after giving him the Silicea?

Thanks. I always look forward to hearing from you.
Franki

franki last decade
I do not think there will be many reactions this time.

He will improve on all fronts.

And, yes one pellet of Silicea 30C in 500 ml, and then 1/2 teaspoon from there thrice.

Good luck,

Sameer

sameervermani last decade
Hello Sameer,

Finally, I gave my son the Silicea yesterday.

In your opinion, do you believe this will help him grow? How long do you think it will take before I see anything?

I would so love to see him return to school in September and be somewhat taller so the children don't tease him so much again.

As Always, I am always grateful to hear from you,

Franki
