try LACHESIS 200C just one or two doses on a single day morning.

note the changes for next 15 days.

if you dont see any improvements, you can try one dose of AMMONIUM CARB 200C after 15 to 20 days.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom shwet [Log on to view profile] on 2007-11-29
Hi Rishimba,
That means that medication Lachesis should be taken just one day and observe for 15 days....Or take medicine everyday for 15 days

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom shwet [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-01
Thanks Rishimba for the suggestion of medication Lachesis.Should I give pellets or liquid ...Which is more powerful?

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom rishimba [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-01
i believe its pretty much cleat that lachesis should be given on a single day.

no remedy for the next 15 days.

liquid dose is better in this case.

please put 3 drops of the remedy in 20 ml of water and sip it slowly in clean mouth. no food or water one hour before or after the dose.

I wanted to find out whether this manufacturer of Lachesis or homeopathic medicines are ok
Dr Wilmar Schwabe Pvt. Ltd / DHU-Arzneimittel. I am thinking of buying it from www.homeopathystore.in. Are all companies homeo meidicine as effective as others

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom rishimba [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-03
it looks to be a german brand which you can trust.

however, one cant say if all brands are equally effective unless you use them.

My daughter age 51/2 years also had difficult and inconsistent breathing with strong nasal sounds and after seeing this post I hgave her lachesis 30 and it helped her tremendously. The breathing is a lot better but the sound is still there though much less than it used to be but atleast she breathes consistently. After midnight she again has this problem and if I repeat Lac 30 it helps her after a while. Do I need to give her higher doses. she also has partial paraplegia due to spina bifida and VP shunt in head. her left side is more affected

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom rishimba [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-05
lachesis has a long term effect and should not be repeated often.

paraplegia is covered by lachesis if the modalities match. if its helping her in her sleep, you might as well consider lachesis for her left side praplegia.

lachesis is also a left side remedy.

if the sleep symptoms return, you can give just one dose of LACHESIS 200C and repeat it only when the symptoms return or after some 20 to 25 days.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom shwet [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-06
I was about to purchase Lachesis, when we talked to a homeopathic doctor friend in India and was suggested Grindelia 6X to be sniffed by nostrils every three hours. What is the difference in Grindelia and Lachesis' action on Sleep Apnea

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom rishimba [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-06
it has the same action as lachesis on breathing disorders during sleep.

you can try grindelia in lower potencies.

good remedy.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom shwet [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-07
1.Do we get Grindelia in some inhalation form too to be sniffed by nose, in strength 6X?
2.Is potency 6C same as 6X?

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom rishimba [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-08
dont know about the availability.

6c is equal to 12x.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom anamikagulati [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-10
Thanks Rishimba
Yesterday again was a bad night with frequent episodes of apnea. If i try Lac 200 then I stop Lac 30 . What is your suggestion considering that it suits her left side paralegia. Please suggest urgently

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom rishimba [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-11
please give 2 doses of LACHESIS 200C some 15 minutes apart.

no other remedies for next 30 days.

if the sleep apnea and paraplegia do not improve even a bit in the next 30 days, this means that lachesis is not the right remedy for your daughter.

you need to give her full case her answering the questionnaire to for the homeopaths to find the similimmum.

you can still do it before starting a higher potency of lachesis.

this is my suggestion.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom anamikagulati [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-11
Please tell me where can I find the questionaire.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom sameervermani [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-12
The nature of the child points to Phosphorus.

Her recurrent dream points to the core delusion of Phosphorus i.e.

"Left alone on an island"

I would give her just 3 doses of Phosphorus 30C on an empty stomach, spaced at 30 mins interval.

This is not to be repeated.

Please report status in 10 days.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom rishimba [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-12
paraplegia as a result of VP shunt is unlikely to get cured through homeopathy.

however, phosphorus is close to the childs nature and could be given as a constitutional remedy for overall improvement.

concurrent symptoms like sleep apnea, UTI, would be better treated by ARS ALB.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom sameervermani [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-12
I have seen cases of dangerous diseases like Multiple Sclerosis being cured through constitutional remedies.

The core delusion and her temperament and even the dislike of milk and aggravation of cold weather is covered by Phosphorus.

She will improve on every front. You can go ahead with the three doses of 30C of Phosphorus.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom anamikagulati [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-13
Thanks , as suggested will give her phosphorous on saturday and report back after 10 days

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom anamikagulati [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-24
As suggested I had given my daughter Lac-200 once only and 3-4 days hence given her Phosphorous as suggested . Her apnea in much better in the first half of thenight but starts again at aroung 3 am. Also any sleep in the afternoon is also very uncomfortable with worsened apnea. She has tonsillitis and swollen adenoids also due to which she has recurrent mild fever 1-2 days every fortnight which goes off with belladonna 200 once. She has recurrent cough which worsens to asthma in these months. The frequency of getting cold and cough running nose with mucous secretion is also very high. It was ok for about two weeks and has started again.

Re: Sleep ApneaFrom sameervermani [Log on to view profile] on 2007-12-24
Did she take any other medicine after Phosphorus ?

Which of the symptoms which have developed are old symptoms ?

Which symptoms have improved ?

Please clarify.
