Cracked Tongue
Hello! For years now, i had 3 cracks on my tongue, and 1 on the right side, its vertical. It never bothered me until last year, when i started eating spicy and salty foods. Even when i ate tomatos, the appearance of my tongue changed. It looked dark purple and gray. Recently i stopped eating those foods, and it looks like its getting better. But the cracks are still there. I was wondering if this means something? If i have an illness? ALso is there any thing that can take it away? Thanks

you can review a tongue diagnostic site on line usually found under chinese medicine. the geography of the tongue relates to specific internal organs of the body. the left and right perimeter sides correspond to the liver/gall bladder. the tip of the tongue to the heart, the small space behind the tip corresponds to lung, a large portion of the center of the tongue relates to stomach and spleen, and the far back of the tongue relates to kidney, bladder and intestines. the tongue can be a good indicator for heat/coldness of body, how energy is flowing, excesses and definciences in energy etc.
best wishes
