What kills e coli bacteria?

Hello,I was wondering if you could tell me what to take that would kill e coli bacteria in the urine? How much and for how long before all the e coli are killed and how much water consumption, too? I was wondering too why,if something is given,it seems to take such a long time before the e coli are killed(maybe I'm not taking the right thing)? Why doesn't it just go and kill whatever e coli there is,right away? Thanks.

Well, to actually KILL bacteria people take antibiotics-but you must be sure that this particular strain of bacteria is sensitive to that particular antibiotic. It takes time to get it to the bloodstream and to finally act.

But antibiotics are not selective, they kill good bacteia too, destray balance in your guts so fungi like candida can flourish. It is definitely better to avoid them.

Your own defence mechanism also has ways to KILL bacteria. If it were ok though it wouldn't allow e.coli to grow there. It must be strenghtened, and homeopathic remedy points to the direction of the most urgent action. It takes some time to get it strong enough to eradicate e.coli.

Incidentally I have just learned about D-mannose curing bladder infection. Bacteria stuck to it instead of bladder walls and you get rid of them every time you go to the bathroom.

no, D-mannose doesn't kill e.coli. (not in normal doses anyway).

(I think you really do not like it).

Hi, just to clarify D-Mannose certainly will kill e coli, it is incredibly good. I have been using at for over a year. see the waterfall D-Mannose site because I have found them very helpful, reliable and they seem to do a lot of research themselves.

D-Mannose does not kill the e coli bacteria. It works by coating the bacteria so it can't cling to the bladder or urinary tract walls, this keeps it from being able to take hold and reproduce, and allows your body to do its job. It works very well. Especially if you get regular infections. It is great to use as a preventative.
