constant runny nose in 18 month old girl
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to help my 18 month old girl. She is constantly suffering from colds/runny nose. When the coughing and fevers go, she continues with the runny nose. She may have had one or two weeks without a runny nose since she started day care 6 months ago. How can I help her? We have tried the over the counter homeopathic medicine from Boiron - Coryzalia for children, but only slight improvement with the cough and fever. She's had this for 2 solid months now. Doctors are unconcerned. This is worrisome to us as parents but also so frustrating for the child. Thank you so very much for your advice.toberedeemed on 2007-11-18

Thank you so much for responding to my query. Here are the responses as per your request.
The nose mucous is clear but very runny
Pretty much 24/7 although mornings are slightly better
Occasional cough while sleeping
No sneezing
Average thirst - drinks appropriate milk and water
She's a very mild natured child, although has gotten into biting me lately
Haven't observed any difference if it's worse in a cold or warm room
No throat irritation, only occasional cough
Chest is clear, no rattling
I don't understand what you mean by coryza excoriating on the skin or bland - sorry
Not accompanid by itching of eyes, watering of eyes or pain in the ears (although she did suffer from pink eye and ear infection about one month ago - runny nose was already there when she got these other illnesses)
