Recurrent strep throat - adult | From kessinger [Log on to view profile] | on 2007-11-16 |

Hi! I am new here. I got strep throat about 5 times last cold/flu season and am dealing with my second bout of it already this current cold/flu season.
Each time I get an antibiotic shot and my ped wants to treat all my kids with amoxicilian since they are young (2, 4 and 6)
I don't give the kids the antibiotics unless they show symptoms of having strep too...red throat/fever. But it's so contagious usually the toddler gets it when I do
What should I take homeopathically? I am getting referred to an ENT next week, but I do not want to have my tonsils removed
Thanks

For me, strep throat comes without much warning. I'm feeling fine than all of a sudden my throat starts feeling scratchy, then gets so swollen and red it hurts to swallow. Sometimes I run a fever of 101, but not always. If I don't get on antibiotics quickly, I usually start vomiting.
My toddler is 2. This last time he had a fever of 101.
My kids have had runny noses recently (clear snot), but that's about it.
It's almost as if instead of getting a cold, I just get strep throat.

When you feel the first signs of it coming, take three doses of Belladona 200c, 4 pellets as one dose, spaced aroung 4 hours between each dose.

Where can I get Belladonna 200c? I have 30c here. I have to order all of it online, as noone around me carries it.
Thanks | | |

Belladonna 30C is fine. Belladonna will give you temporary relief but will not cure your problem for good.
Wait for Dr. Deoshlok. And also mention if the problem is worse at right side or left side.

Try Mercurius Iodatus Flavus 6x once a day till your medicine lasts.

Hi, I am new to this site and looking for all the help I can get. My family (myself (29), my husband (30), my daughter (3) and my son(19 months), I myself started having symptoms in July of 2006, 3 months after I had my son. My symptoms were not normal strep symptoms, back & neck ache, severe pain in my stomach, low back pain by my kidneys, tingling sinsations throughout my body, pressure in my head, a feeling of being confused a lot. It took the doctors over a month to figure out what was going on. Since that time I have had 10 bouts of strep. My husband has had it 7 or 8 times and my daughter 5. I had my tonsils removed in August 2007, but I am still having all the same symptoms as before. Before having my tonsils taken out the doctors would give me an antibiotic and the symptoms would go away for a couple of weeks to a month and then come back. Now I have the symptoms all the time and have been tested for strep 3 times and all have come back negative. However, my daughter has tested positive two of the three times. I have seen doctor, after doctor and no one believes that I am still have the symptoms because the tests are not coming back positive. Can anyone help me please. |
