I've just been diagnosed with multi nodular goitre. I'm 60 yrs of age and my younger sister has just been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. The lumps are increased rapidly since the first lump was discovered about two weeks ago. I have to have a fine needle biopsy on Tuesday and want to know about the homeopathic remedies and successes etc., regards, Carol Cameron cazcameron@yahoo.com.au

Goitre Nodules are usually found in women after menopause and can be treated with the following remedies:

Calc Carb 6c
Calc Iodatum 6c
Iodium 6c

It is important to check with the patient about whether she is the "hot" type or the "cold" type. Does she want to sit under a fan if she feels hot or cover up if she usually fells cold when others do not react in a similar mannner to the temperature ?

If the cold type the first 2 remedies may be used. If the warm type Iodium 6c. The patient will have to take the remedy for a long time twice daily to see any results.
