Please - Someone Help Me - I Am Frightened

Hello:

First I want to apoloze profusely for my long, dissertation below, but you must know all the facts in order to get the proper picture.

My main health issue (among others) has always been my extreme fatigue due to:

Extremely low hemoglobin
Extremely low iron
Extremely low hematocrit

Well, recently I have been so weak I struggle to keep from passing out - I had a CBC/Chem Panel done this past Monday - the results were frightening as follows:

Hemoglobin 6.2
Iron 5
Hematocrit 20.2

My internist here and the doctor at Life Extension (I am a member there) was very concerned that I get help immediately. The internist here (who is really a great person) but limited in everything as most allopathic doctors are in this country, immediately set up an appointment for me at the offices of a group of hematologists/cancer doctors.

I spent the whole afternoon while the young hematologist examined me and kept pushing for me to have 2 pints of blood transfusion. Well, just the thought of another persons blood in me (a stranger no less) is very unsettling - they make mistakes all the time and you never know how clean the blood is. She kept telling me that the transfusion would at least make me feel immediately better for a couple of weeks.

Well, I initially went there for an 'iron infusion' which she kept poo pooing and pushing the transfusion.

While I was there they did some testing including about five different blood smears for examination on the slide. My blood was so weak that it was almost 'white'... they were shocked!!!!!!!

Also, they put this little oxygen meter on my finger on my left hand to measure my oxygen levels. Question: if my hemoglobin, which is what carries oxygen throughout your body (or at least is the carrier of oxygen) is so low, you would assume that my oxygen levels would be low, CORRECT?

Well, I have been using food grade H202 in a nebulizer recently, several times a day for about one minute each session. Guess what my oxygen levels were from the meter: 98%...... My conclusion was that my oxygen levels were that high because of the H202, wouldn't you say? I asked her is that a good level and how is that possible if my hemoglobin is so extremely low.

Her answer was that my heart is working overtime to produce what my body needs - I have high blood pressure and constant burning headaches. I don't always believe these doctors because they are just not taught the ability to diagnose anything - all they know is drugs.

What are your opinions on this, please, please....

Now, the iron infusion which I opted for on Monday is called Infed - they want to give me 400 ML to start for $249.00.... she then told me I would need at least four or five treatments and that the iron infusion takes a long time to show affect compared to the damned transfusion she was pusing like crazy!!!

Thank you for all your time and advice - please, don't leave me alone on this - I am so scared - I am so weak I can barely stay awake.

What can I do to immediately raise my iron and hemoglobin so I do not die!!!!!!
