Thymuline

Hello, I am living in Korea teaching English. I am home from school today with what I thought was a cold yesterday, but today appears more like the flu. I brought the Boiron Inluenzinum & Thymuline with me but have not taken it as I was not familiar with it and didn't realize the best way to administer it (start in October/November, etc) Now that I have the flu can I take either the thymuline or the influenzinum. My boss is suggesting that I go to a doctor and get some medicine and a shot as 'Korean flu is strong.' She believes that is what I need in order to get over this quickly and get back to work.

I've read that maybe it is not best to take the influenzinum if I am already sick, but cannot find anywhere if I can start taking the thymuline today? Please advise. And I find your forum very enlightening. Thank you,
Angielee

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hello, again, I don't want to go to the doctor, but I haven't been able to find out if I can take thymuline now that I already have the flu. And then at some later date take the influenzinum when the flu is gone? I am just about to leave for the doctor as I can't take any more days off work, but hoped to find out today. I feel stupid for having these wonderful remedies here with me in Korea and then forgetting to take them prophylactically. Ah, well, look forward to any advice.

Dear Angielee:
First of all, don't worry. Don't be in a hurry. No problem.
Thymuline is an homeopahtic remedy used to treat adenopaties because it increases the linfocites number and it's used in sycosis miasm predisposition.
Influenzinum can help you, but you need some remedy to fight the acute symptoms: stenia, rhinitis, fever, headache...
I advice to use ANAS BARBARIE 200k , or if you can get it, OSCILLOCOCCINUM (from Boiron labs).
Take a 0,5 liter mineral water. Put three pellets into and shake well. Take one spoon every hour and spaciate if you have some amelioration.
Influencinum you can take once a day, one pellet while the flu is during. Later, when the symptoms disspear, stop it.
Shots are not the best solution. Drink a lot of water, be in bed and rest.
Best wishes

Hi, Andre, and I appreciate your reply, and 'no problem' is so true. As I am in Korea I have no access to homeopathic remedies, at least in my fair city of Changwon, not that I know of, anyway. I almost brought the Oscillococcinum along with me, but alas, I did not.

I think that means I do not have a way to deal with acute symptoms, but after feeling really bad this morning, I am already improving with rest, water, tea and a little toast and fruit. So, I will start the Inluenzinum, one/day until symptoms are gone.

I am still wondering if I can take the Thymuline as recommended to build immune system (one vial/week for 5 weeks)on it's own? The reason I keep asking about them together is that they were sold to me together as a flu preventative. So now I'm wondering if it's appropriate to take them as recommended, even though flu season is basically (?) over, or can I just take the Thymuline by itself (now or when?) or they need to go together and I've missed using them.

Since being here in another country I have some anxiety about getting sick so I'm wondering if the Thymuline can be used as an all-round immune booster?

Thank you, Andre,
Angielee

Dear Angielee:
What a pity! Forget your OCILOCOCCINUM was a bad thing, but there is no problem.
Use INFLUENZINUM as I said and wait.
I have no experience with THYMULINE, but I was in homeoint.org webpage and read about this remedy. Perhaps can fight against some bacteries or some kind of germens better than an antibiotic, but if you have no infection in your respiratory system, I would prefer no using THYMULINE. But if you want to make a PROVING, ...
Please if, at the end, you make it, tell me about your experience ;) OK?

Bert wishes and i trust your healt force.

Hi, Andres, I have arranged to have a friend send me some ocilococcinum, but it will not arrive for 3-4 weeks. It will be good to have it, though, since I work with children and I have already had a cold and the flu in less that 3 months, which is unheard of for me.

Also, re: the thymuline, it does look like I have some respiratory thing as my cough (which I seem to have off and on) is deeper and I'm coughing every 10 or 15 minutes, and more in the morning while still in bed. It's a deep croupy, death rattle kind of cough and I'm starting to think maybe this is bacterial or 'candida-related' even though I have no other symptoms that I know of. Anyway, my thinking is to way a week after the flu passes and I've stopped the Infuenzinum and then start taking the Thymuline 9ch as directed (1 single dose tube once/week for 5 weeks).

Thank you for the generous gift of your time and knowledge.
