Effexor and Ecstasy
for the past 3 months ive been doing ecstasy on a regular basis. recently ive been prescribe a 75mg dosage of Effexor. if im on effexor and i have one ecstasy pill what are the things that could happen to me.i aslo smoke alot f pot. this is my first time having antidepressant and i dont know what to expect.FARBD on 2007-01-26

Please do not take Ecstacy with Effexor. The results are NOT documented. Both drugs have an effect on the brain chemistry.
Now, of course you should never do Ecstacy at all, as it is an illegal substance. But taking it while using an anti-depressant is just plain DANGEROUS.
I respect that you are being honest sbout your situation. You really are in a jam. But the answer is 'No, do not take Ecstacy while using Effexor'.
I hope that because you asked, you would be prepared to accept the answer, and show us your strength by refusing Ecstacy at this time in your life. You can refuse it!
