This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Homosexuality does appear in the repertory with twenty some remedies cited. This would lead me to believe that you friend could be assisted in perhaps deadening these urges. Proper case taking , as you would treat any case, by totality of symptoms emotional and physical should no doubt be employed.

The symptom listed 'lovesick for one of his own sex' is a remedy INDICATION only, much like dark complexioned, or lax fibred, it is NOT a symptom of disease.

My goodness, is this the 21st or the 18th Century? One's sexual orientation is not a disease! The 'disease' is only the attitude toward this, maybe avinav you would be better employed in finding a remedy/therapy to remove such a trait in yourself, and Matt I'm suprised at you.

I would say NO to that. Homosexuality is believed by many, myself included, to be a predisposition at birth.

There is nothing wrong whatsoever with being gay. I would, however, suggest that your friend be treated for these feelings of guilt and shame.

More info on symptoms please?

Ahh

I never said it was a disease. If the tendency to homosexuality causes this individual dis-ease well then... is it a symptom or not? MAybe it is a predisposition yes. I wonder what Kent would say about this. Ha Ha . Original sin (s).

I'm confused. Obviously your friend has a problem with being attracted to men, otherwise you wouldn't be seeking advice.

Isn't the mental/emotional problems he is having a symptom?

Yes thats my point.

Homeopathy is all about predispostions and the treatment of such. Im predisposed to be an alcoholic, but is it a disease if I like to drink a lot every day and Im still a productive person?

I'm thinking that you want to treat your friend constitutionally.

I'm sorry but I don't know of a remedy that can treat homosexuality in this manner. But once again I have to stress that more info is needed.

What are the mental/emotional symptoms?

I understand your point Matt, but it does sound a lot like the whole 'it's okay to be gay unless you practice it' argument. The guy is obviously having problems with his sexuality, but these are only problems because of other peoples attitudes to this, not because such things manifest as symptoms. It is clearly a corporeal affection, he cannot be himself because of the odd notions of others, and this may or may not be making him sick, but who should be treated, he for his feelings, or those for thier ignorance?

Oh, and I'm pretty sure I know what Kent would say, as despite the fact he was quite the over zealous religious type (which in my opinion was his one shortcoming) there have also been comments on his sexuality in various texts too, read up on his life, you might find a few surprises... ;)

Im only joking around . I really couldnt care what Kent may have thought.
Everything is relative to its envornment/culture. This is a good time for my 'unpredjudiced observer' to kick in . We all need one.

Hey. I thought they kicked you out of here! Ha ha .

The unprejudiced observer in all of us is the most logical part.

and hah at that. I find it helps to have the software to back up such things, otherwise it's kind of a joke, and I never give up when im right ;)
