swedish bitters and nursing

Hi-Does anyone know if swedish bitters could be taken when nursing. My friend suggested that it could help me with nursing pain and also help the baby with collic and puffy eyes...The bottle says if pregnant or nursing not to take it. Does anyone know?

Dear Dahliatop.

No strong herbal remedy should be taken during nursing (or pregnant), as anything ingested will be passed on to the infant.
