Stye on small child
Hello my three year old is on his second stye (right eye both times)in a few months. I understand these are reoccuring for many. Please suggest a remedy for his specifics. Right eye, upper lid, gets very swollen, whole lid gets very red and is painful. Stye seems to be under the skin as it does not really come to a head but there is a definite lump in the centre of lid.Thanks in advance,

P.S. Joe D. I read your post about Arnica for the prevention of styes and will take that into consideration but I am concerned about this stye at this moment.

Your report of a sty in the case of a 3 year old is very rare as they usually occur after age 6.
Since he is already on his second sty there seems to be some reason for his continued infection and you already know the remedy.
You can give him Arnica 30c in the wet dose taken before sleep just one teaspoonful daily.
Fomenting the sty can give him relief.

Thanks Joe. Will Arnica help clean this up or is it just a preventative for next time?
Also putting a warm wash cloth on a three year olds eye for any length of time can be tricky. Im guessing Arnica is more of a preventative, if this is so is there a remedy to hep this heal? Thanks.

Unfortunately not. The bacterial infection in a sty takes a lot of healing as the blood flow to the eyelids is very low and I believe that Arnica works as a prophylactic by increasing the blood flow throughout the body and the styes are prevented from forming.
You may like to know that I too was one who got a sty almost weekly and all the doctors could do was to scoop them out surgically which I did 3 times over and it was only when I took Arnica for my prostate that i discovered that my styes had also been fixed permanently.

Pulsatilla got rid of the stye in two days flat. Success.

You are however advised to keep him on a daily dose of Arnica 30c in the wet dose as the chances of styes recurring is high and this remedy will ensure that it does not return.
