Hello Simone.

No in France, Boiron has Calendula mother tincture, the pure one in alcohol, and 1x dilution is also in alcohool, not in glycerin.

Can mother tincture in alchool be applied pure on wounds or any skin problem, or is it too potent?

If it's too potent, what shall I ask for?

Can’t you get any creams or ointments in France-like arnica creams , calendula creams?
You want a thin layer on the skin-so what I would do is take the mother tincture and put some drops into something neutral like vaseline-and make your own ointment.
Or contact Boiron-they sell the cream and ointment in usa-why not France.
I just saw Crema alla Calendula from France by Boiron for purchase here.

They have a vaseline calendula ointment but with just 4% calendula, the cream has 5% calendula. Is that enough to work?
