Tremble / Tremor in left hand

I am 66 yrs old, male. For the last 6 months I've noticed my left hand (especially elbow downwards and fingers) tremble when I hold any item or get up taking both hands support. Right hand is ok. When I attend functions and eat holding plate, it almost becomes impossible because of trembling hand.

People / neurologist said it was because of age progression. As my mother, brothers too have a minimum tremor in hands, he said it could be in genes and cannot go away.

I only want to improve my problem to minimum tremble. I do exercise, take multi vitaminis and minerals regularly and eat well.

Kindly help.
