Question about taking two treatments together

I am planning on taking Arnica to try to help with the pain in my left shoulder/arm/elbow - I injured it while sleeping, it may be rotator cuff impingement or something along those lines. I have been suffering for 8 months with no improvement.

I also would like to start taking Ammonium Carbonicum to ease my transition into menopause. I am not sleeping properly, my digestion is off and alot of other symptoms common with pre-menopause.

Can I take the Arnica treatment along with the Ammonium Carbonicum, or should I do Arnica first and just wait for my should improve?

Will the taking them both at the same time diminish their effects?

Can anyone recommend what dosages would be appropriate and for how long? Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hello typeogirl,
strictly speaking this is not the right method. Administrating a single well indicated remedy solves all the problems in a person.
Unfortunately, due to present day fast life, impatient patients and quick fix approach of the doctor him/herself multiple medicines are given, which palliate the symtoms but do not cure.
In your case, i suppose that you have decided to take Ammon. For menopause and Arnica for other pains, without considering the totality of all your symptoms. ( this is only my hypothesis & i may be wrong).
Nevertheless, i think it will help you only to give some relief in pain.
I too give two med alternately in some few cases but i prefer to give a deeper acting med in a little higher potency than other which is not too much deep acting than the first one.
There is another one most important factor about the sequence & pathology in which the symptoms have come in.
In your case it appears that menopause is a primary issue & pains are secondary one. Therefore in case you decide to take both med. you should take arnica in lower potency than Ammon.
Not to confuse you further ( pun unintended) i suggest you need to review the case in totality and God willing you may come to a single remedy which may not be either of them.

I appreciate your answer. If there would be one treatment that would take care of both, I would of course consider it.

I just thought because the shoulder pain has been so chronic with no relief, that is a completely different issue then pre-menopause. Because the shoulder issue started before my pre-menopausal symptoms started, they were unrelated.

I would appreciate any advice you are willing to give.

Thank you!

I shall be able to suggest you some remedy if you will let me know all your symptoms both mental & physical & their modalities ( means the conditions & time of aggravation etc.)
You may use some standard questionnaire which are available on this forum, made by some other members.
