Armpit cyst

I have an armpit cyst and possibly an abscess. It was caused by an ingrown hair which I tried to remove myself by picking at it, almost 5 years ago. At the beginning and for the greater part it was a hard lump of skin, exterior only. Occasionally it would get a pimple and a little pus would drain.
A dr had seen it and said it was only superficial, which it was at that time, and nothing was needed to be done.
About 2 months ago it had a pimple and I picked it and got a staph infection, which my daughter already had. Since then, although the staph infection seems to have passed, the lump has grown and if squeezed pus and blood come out. Sometimes it bleeds without being touched.
I went to a dermatologist today and he said a have to go to a surgeon to get it opened and cleaned and it most likely has become an abscess. It is definitely infected and has started to bother me. Getting it removed definitely requires antibiotics according to the doctor.
Is there something I can do homeopathy wise to help me prepare for it and to heal faster?
I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
