To Evocationer - Dry, painful cough

Hi Evocationer,

I'm feeling worse, please help me with an acute remedy. I have a running nose, the secretions are like egg withe and clear. I can't breath through my nose.
My through it's worse, I feel-it very dry and with a strong burning sensation. I still have the dry, painful cough. My lips are dry and they begin to crack.

Thank you for your reply.
Last night he slept well so I slept well. Finally I took some codeine tablet to calm down the cough and I could sleep.

Here are the symptoms:

Next to each one, describe

1. the pain or sensation.
- pain at the root of the nose that spreed deeper in the head and eyes. Also tickling and burning sensation in the nose that make me sneeze. Sometimes I feel-it congested and full, although when I blow the nose the sensation of fullness does not disappear.
- pain in the throat like burning. Before I cough sometimes I feel like a tickling. When I cough I feel the throat very dry and it's painful. My left tonsil it's more swollen, but I feel the pain more to the right. I've allays had the tonsils a little bit enlarged, especially the left tonsil.
- constant sensation of tickling and burning in the back of the roof of the mouth
- in this evening my head hurt and I felt shivery.
- also my sense of smell and taste it's affected.

2. what makes it worse
- into a very warm room the throat became very dry and burning.
- if I raise my voice and became nervous my cough starts.
- cold air - sneezing, burning sensation in the nose and at the roof of the mouth
- after the sneeze I feel more pain in the throat and at the root of the nose.
- blowing the nose make worsen the sensation of congested and blocked nose.

3. what makes it better
- eating, drinking warm liquids, lying down

4. when does it happen
- all the day long
- in the night it's not so powerful. But around 1 o'clock I had another round of cough.
5. when did it start
Around 5 days I think. I'm on my period and I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not, but my cough got worse from the day it's started.

6. what made it start
Probably the weather changes, from very warm to very cold and windy. But I'm having a dry cough for a wile, only that it was not painful before this cold. I think it was a remain from the last flu.

7. describe appearance of any physical manifestations (colour, texture, odour, taste, etc)
- discharge of the nose like egg withe, sometimes clear, sometimes yellow. (in the morning). In this evening became yellow-gold and it's dropping in the throat.
- the throat it's not so red as I feel him it is.

Describe your general state in terms of the acute condition, using the above questions as a guide (if there is a disturbance there):

1. Sleep
I sleep good, only around 1 o clock I woke up the other nights with cough and nose discharge.
2. Appetite - a little diminished. I need to eat consistent food, otherwise I feel a hole in my stomach.
3. Thirst (desires, aversions, general)
No thirst.
But when I'm feeling thirsty I prefer the warm tea instead of the water.

4. Physical energy
Low energy. Usually I am agitated and a little irritable, but now I feel weak.
5. Sensitivity to the environment (weather, temperature, light, noise, touch etc)
I think I have a little sensitivity to light, when I am going from dark to light.

My mental state - I feel tired, I'm not in the mood of doing anything. Usually I am very agitated, always doing something in the house, but now I feel calm and I don't need to see the house sparkling.

In the last 3 years my colds settle in the throat with this dry annoying cough.

Hi Evocationer,

I took 3 doses of Nux vomica 30c. Only very small improvements - i'm not feeling anymore the sensation of tickling and burning.
In the evening my cough get worse. After a few dry cough the cough it's full, but with difficulty, like the phlegm could not break from the throat.
I did not took the last dose of Nux Vomica.
Also, now when I blow my nose, the secretions are mixed with blood. My left nostril it's worse.

I took he first dose of Nux Vomica - 10 times hit.
I do have also Nux Vomica 200c. I took the both dilutions just in case I will needed.

Hi Evocationer,

In this morning I did not coughed so much, but it's still painful.
Also I waked up with a head ache that seems to get worse after every blow of the nose.
The secretions are now getting yellow-green with blood.
My throat does not hurt so much.
I still have no sense of smell and pain at the root of the nose.

HI Evocationer,

The headache get worse during the day and I developed also a toothache.
The pain in the throat was better also the cough.
In the middle of the day I took Nux Vomica 200c, one dose.
My headache aggravated very bad and the shivery sensation came back.
So I decided to go to a ENT doctor.
It looks like I have pus in my nose. He prescribed my antibiotics. I started the treatment.
I'm still having a terrible toothache, maxillary ache.
Could this all be an aggravation from Nux Vomica?
Should I have not taken the dose of 200c? Also could I take something to help me along my alopath treatment or homeopathy and alopathy together does not work?

Now I really understand how homeopathy work and how wrong I took the remedy before.
