Need advice regarding my 5yr old Son

Hi,
My 5 yr old DS is getting lot of complaints front eh teacher in summer camp! She says he does not sit still in class, talks a lot, does not finish some activities, he is hyperactive etc.
The reason I need help is, he seems very gifted. his preschool teacher also had these complaints for sometime, but she said he was very intelligent and good in academic work. He got straight 'A's in preschool academic milestones!. I even have the report card!!
Also I had him take a Gifted/talented weschler/woodcock-Johnson III test for entering kindergarteners (not because I wanted him to!!, but because the school with the g/t program was one among the closest to home and they had this test to select entering kindergarteners). We didn't expect him to pass in it, nor did we prepare him for it!! And he has never gone to regular school till then, but he qualified in it!! Which shows he is gifted!! leading him to be treated as one among the gifted/talented students in any school within the district.
So I am really confused if he developed symptoms of ADHD or ADD. but at home, he is not hyperactive, is calm and creative. Likes to do lots of academic related workbook activities etc.
Then I went through homeopathic remedies and after reading the symptoms and patient profile of Lycopodium I feel he fits into the profile. Further I have my own history with Lyc. when I was in college, when I suffered from amebiasis infection and biological depression for which I was prescribed Lyc. which cured me.
So I want some advice if it is right for my son and if so what should be the potency and dosage for administering it.

Thanks

Hi- a dose is 2 drops in 2 tablespoons of water. If you
can only get pills- it is 8 pills dissolved under the tongue.

Hi all,
Thanks for the reply and help. I was able to get only Lyc. 30C. So I will follow the dosage instructions of Mr. Akshay Mohl and report you back at the forum.

Hi Akshay and Simone,
Today the teacher says my son was OK in school. Well, at least she didn't look or sound so mad at my son like yesterday!!
Yesterday I had started a dose of 2 pills of Lyc. 30 in the evening, before posting this forum thread.
Also his constipation which was going on for 3 days has been relieved. He went to potty today.

But I have a couple of doubts about the dosage and the Lycopodium profile.
1. About dosage - Should I only give three doses of Lyc only this week in alternate days as Akshay mentioned?? or repeat it?? if so how many more weeks/days and how many pills?
2. About the Lyc. profile. My son had the fear of trying new things, empathy but bossy nature, sweetness and sudden rash reaction etc as said in the profile. Also recently he is Inverting letters of alphabets eg: 'b' instead of 'd' etc. too much attention to his appearance, dress he wears etc.
The only thing that doesn't fit from the profile is the craving for sweets. He DOES NOT have craving for sugar or sweets. He eats even chocolate very occasionally!!
So Am I in the right track?? giving the right remedy?
3. If I should follow any food restrictions for controlling his hyperactivity what are those?? Please guide me.

Thanks for your help in advance.
Yours,
Abhi

Hi Abhi,

Do the 3 dose alternate days that Dr. Mohla said to do.

Report in after the 3rd dose- Please do watch for what
Dr. Mohla said about repetition of actions.

Lyco is a long acting remedy. You are already having a good
result. A remedy does not need to 'match' every symptom,
it just needs to Match enough important symptoms.

You are over-worrying. You are on the right track. Dr. Mohla
is an experienced homeopathic Dr.

Take care,

Hi Akshay and Simon,
Today my DS seems to have been better than even yesterday in school. But today was the last day of summer school for him. So I can't give much feedback on school. But will keep you updated on other things about him.

My latest observation, DS seems to have turned a Lille bit MORE bossy at home and mimics us when we reprimand him. Especially his dad, he is not so much scared of dad's authority as mine, since dad is sometimes a softie! Gives a lot of idle threats.
Also I see him talking about things and singing songs from movies he saw or heard a very long time ago!
He used to do that a bit before, now it seems more.
That's it for now.

Hi Akshay and Simone.
Today I gave the last of the three doses of LYco. My DS constipation seems took have relived. He has been going to potty regularly. But on the down side. Emotionally he is more adamant and not listening to any instructions adamantly. No timeouts are working.
Also he complains sometime, mostly in afternoons of stomach ache.
Is it OK? Or how should I proceed now. Please help me.
Thanks
Abhi

The Doctor will reply also-
I think he is aggravating a bit and these things
will pass away soon- this is nothing to worry for- it
is how things work when the prescription is
correct. Things of the past appear and then leave. Keep
posting:-)

Dear Mr.Simone and Dr. Akshay
I have given my son last week a dose of Lyc 30 as you had instructed. He seems to get mad soon and is sometimes hitting me or his dad if we restrict something for him etc. but some Times he is well behaved. Also his constipation is returning. Do you think I should continue the dosage?
If so how long?
Thank you

Thanks Dr. Akshay,
Will follow your advice. Also wanted to keep you updated. I dont know why but yesterday since I posted the previous reply my son seems to have quietened a bit.
He is in more pleasant mood. Seems to take timeouts well and not repeat hitting!!.
Lyco is really a miracle drug I agree. So do you want me to wait till next weekend to give any dosage??

Abhirami,
