The ABC Homeopathy Forum

action of syphillinum

friends, my three year old daughter has the following problems:
she bedwets profusely in the night. but she has no incontinence during the daytime. almost all her milkteeth are very much decayed and stubbly. she has longstanding skin complaints especially in the folds of her limbs and on her right hand. she gets cold/cough/fever twice a month. during fever she develops fits. she is slow in her speech. even now her vocabulary is poor and her words very unclear and sentence construction very short and basic. but she has walked normally. it seems she is okay in her other affairs. she is hot tempered and when irritated or angry, she hits her mother. she is irritated mostly after waking. she has a strong desire for sweet things. she is fairly tall for her age but slim. it seems she does not put on flesh in proportion to the quantity of her food.
a local homeopath here tried on her calc carb, psorinum, and medorrhinum but of no use. then i tried kreosotam 200C one or two doses. again no use. i gave her tuberculinum 1M one dose but she did not respond to that either.
boericke says that syphillinum can be given when tuberculinum fails, but it will produce some reactions. so i haven't tried syphillinum. what does he mean when he says syphillinum will produce some reactions? does he mean some severe aggravations? can i give my daughter one dose of syphillinum? if yes, what should be the potency? somewhere i read that syphillinum should be given in very high potency. is it right?
i request to you to help me in this matter by giving your valuable advice.

with love,
thahir.

answer the following

Does she develop some complication after eating sweets?

was the mother eating a lots of sweet when she was conceived or after her birth?

If she was,did your daughter develop any problem after suckling?

syphillinum, and allied medicines should be given under supervision if the symptoms agree.,and may cause an adverse reaction.

sorry sir, i could not reply immediately because of internet connection problem. no, she does not develop complications after consuming sweets, nor did have any problem after suckling. her mother did not take much sweets during her pregnancy. but my child had the infant hepatitis soon after birth. but it did not go after one or two weeks as in usual cases. even after homeopathic and allopathic treatment, it went only after four months. she had constipation too in those days. if you want any more details, please feel free to ask me.

i think i have provided you all the details i remember now. does any remedy come in your mind? what about syphillinum? what do you think of calc phos and nat mur? most often, when she has fever, she responds well to sulphur 30 . it seems she has slightly higher body temperature even when she is not suffering from fever. and her hands and feet appear to be more warm than other body parts.

most of the time, when she gets a cold, she develops cough too in no time. the cough is almost always hard and difficult to cough up. this cough lasts around three weeks. the nasal discharge starts like watery and later becomes yello but without much bad smell. it seems to me that her cold and cough are most often viral and not bacterial. when she develops febrile fits, it is not that strong. her eyes roll back and she becomes almost unconscious and starts to mutter unintelligibly. she gets cold and cough in every season of the year. and she develops fits at any time of the day. she has no particular time for bedwetting. even if she sleeps during the day, she bedwets. during the night, she may bedwet four or five times. but she has bladder control during waking hours.
her skin condition is a sort of reddish roughness. there is no oozing now. earlier, there was oozing. now sometimes, she does have slight itching. this skin condition of hers do have natural ups and downs.

dear doctor, i could give my daughter calc carb 30C only yesterday. she had been suffering from a viral fever. for that i gave her rhus tox, baptisia and finally sulphur 30C two or three doses. so i gave her calc carb 30 two or three days after sulphur 30. i gave her only one dose [three 40 size globules dry] yesterday night at around ten o'clock just before she went to sleep. it seems to me that she has had a somewhat violent reaction to that single dose. some of her old symptoms seemed to come back. she started to cry in the midnight waking from her sleep. in the morning soon after she woke up, she seemed to be very irritated and angry and started to cry and hit her mother. her irritability and crying and anger stopped after about half an hour. after that during the day she was okay, played with her friends. but she went to sleep at around five o'clock in the evening and woke up at around seven o'clock. this time also, she cried without any apparent reason and started to hit her mother and showed signs of irritability. now she has stopped crying and is lying on the bed.
tell me doctor, is this a bad reaction to calc carb? is this a good sign or bad sign? is this a positive aggravation? should i cancel calc carb? or should i wait patiently? i request your immediate and kind response.

Dont worry it could be the after effect of recovering from viral, which is very common in children, her age.let her recover fully, only then give her calc.
