Homeopathic Remedy Advice

Hello
I have Fibromyalgia. I saw a Homeopath in March 2012 in England. I was given Natrum Mur 30c, 5 tablets taking one tablet once a week. I took an extra dose by mistake which cancelled the remedy. I am now in Canada, currently seeing a Homeopath since January 2013. My Homeopath has given me many different remedies to take in liquid form in high potencies, but they are not helping the Fibromyalgia. I have spoken to my Homeopath, who has changed my treatment plan. I will see my Homeopath again in May. I just wanted to know, if I was to repeat the treatment plan that my first Homeopath gave to me, by taking the Natrum Mur 30c, 5 tablets, taking one tablet once a week, would it be safe to do so, as I have not taken the Natrum Mur 30c since April 2012. Thanks

Hi,
Taking an 'extra dose' of Nat Mur is not going to cancel the remedy.
You could have a bit too much of the Nat Mur, but it will wear off.
Why do you think it cancelled/antidoted the remedy? Things can
antidote remedies like things with camphor etc but you can restart
the remedy.

Was the Nat Mur working for you on the Fibromyalgia?

You could try the Nat Mur again and do something like hit the bottle
hard 10x before each dose to make the body react as if it is new
each time.

If you have been taking a lot of remedies, there needs to be a gap before
you do this of a week or 2 weeks. And , If you are having proving symptoms
from any of the remedies recently taken, then you might need to
have an intermediate remedy like nux vomica or sulphur to clear the slate.

Please put what you have been taking on this thread and how often-
someone can advise about how to restart Nat mur.

Hello, thank you for the reply. I think that the Natrum Mur cancelled, because my Fibromyalgia symptoms were improving, but once I took the extra dose, my symptoms returned. The remedies I am currently taking are Conium mac 200 3 pumps a day for five days, Hypericum 200 2 pumps a day in the morning, Causticum 200 2 pumps a day in the evening for 7 days starting from April 14th. Pyrogenium 200 3 pumps 3 times a day for five days starting from April 25th. In January, February and March I was taking Rhus Tox D30 and Nux Moschata per 200. I have been taking Causticum and Hypericum since January. These remedies I take are in Liquid form.

The remedy was not 'cancelled' you just had an
aggravation of old symptoms. This happens when you have
too much of a remedy and happens many times at the start of
a remedy ( symptoms become worse, then better mentally then
better physically.)

You don't keep repeating remedies when they have an action-
good or bad. You wait and watch how the remedy is acting,
and only take more if old symptoms come back.

So all you had to do was stop the remedy and let the
old symptoms come up and then leave. Then still wait again
for some days, note how you were feeling and then when the
old things came up again take another dose.

It sounds like Nat mur is right for you- you just have to
manage the dosing of it right. It seems odd what your homeopath
is doing- why they did not do nat mur again.

I think the correct way to do this is take the nat mur once -
Watch to see improvements. Do not ---- take another nat mur
dose until you feel you are going backward. Only then do you
take another dose. I think you need a different homeopath.
Or you can try the nat mur, do the one dose, wait to take another
one when indicated- and if you have questions about how this
is going ask about it on here. I would wait 7 days - with no
remedies- to then start the Nat Mur again.

Hello, thanks for your advice. I forgot to mention that the homeopath that I saw when I was in England decided to give me Sulphur 6x tablets where I took one tablet each week for 7 weeks. This was improving my symptoms, but now my old symptoms have returned. I explained my situation to my current homeopath, telling them about when I took the Natrum Mur. They said to me by taking Homeopathic medicine in liquid form will work faster in the body. My current homeopath gave me four different remedies on my first visit.

You had /have two very different types of homeopaths.
The first one was doing conservative , normal type prescribing.
The second one seems to be rather radical and it is not
working for you. Is the second one a real homeopath, or is
it a naturopath or other person practicing other things besides
homeopathy?

Were you given Sulphur 6x at the same time as Nat Mur?
I still don't understand why the Nat Mur was not
continued after you aggravated -all you had to do was wait it out.

Hello, I was given Sulphur 6x three months after I was given the Natrum Mur. My current homeopath isn't registered under the Canadian Society of Homeopaths. I think they may be a naturopath or other person practicing Homeopathy, but his clinic is called Winnipeg Homeopathic Clinic based in Winnipeg. I live in Winnipeg, and the other Homeopaths in the city are not registered under the Canadian Society of Homeopaths. I don't know why my Homeopath in England didn't continue the Nat Mur for my treatment. They gave me the option of taking the Sulphur 6x or to continue waiting for the Nat Mur to work.

do I have this right?

You took Nat mur. took one too many and aggravated.
Then took nothing for 3 months and then took sulphur 6x.

( sounds like you have a legit homeopath-but I don't think this
person is right for you)

I think you need to find another person or do online with someone
like dr. Judyth Ullman- seattle, who does skype and phone and is
a very famous homeopath who is a teacher/author. She would
be more like your first homeopath, but not as conservative.

Hello, yes the info you have is right. I think I will consider online consultations. There is a homeopath that I found within the province, so I will contact them or the Seattle homeopath. Thanks for all your help and advice.

is finding someone who knows how to dose this
right with you. Good luck.
