C-section planned in 5 days

Hello,
I have discovered this website a week ago and found some very interesting threads on homeopathic treatments for C-section patients. As I am running out of time, just wanted to see if you can help me confirm products and dosage needed.
1. Arnica - Ive seen here it is recommended mostly in the 30c dry pellets form. When I went to puchase it from the store, I was told to take the 200ch form, with the following usage: 4 pellets thrice for 2-3 days prior to the surgery, 4 pellets the hour prior to the surgery and then 4 pellets every 15 minutes in the hour following the surgery. I should then continue with taking 4 pellets every hour for 3-4 hours and go back to 4 pellets thrice in the following 2-3 days. I took the 200ch and then called a different practician who said that Arnica 200k is more appropriate than the 200ch - so I am really confused now.
2. Staphysagria - was told to take the 15 potency - no indication on how to take it though.
3. Hypericum perforatum - was told to take the 15 potency - again, with no indication on how to take it.
In this forum I also found that Calendula 30ch can be taken - not sure how often though.
Finally, on a different website it is mentioned the use of Rutin and of Therapeutic grade lavender oil - no details though...
Can you help me put all this in order and come up with a complete treatment?
Sorry for the long post - much appreciated!!
Regards,
Beatrice

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Using high potency is sort of punishment to baby - for nothing. C-Section is easiest birth for baby with just a small cut on umbilical chord. So baby is overdosed for nothing.

Irrespective of what ever is taken, doctor is going to apply/feed/inject recommended allopathic medication.

If there is any need of Homeopathic remedy, Staphysagria 30 is most appropriate, after surgery 3-4 times a day for few days.

Hypericum 30 can be used after two weeks, if there seems to be problems to nerve at C-Section.

THank you very much for the quick reply!
I forgot to mention that I have not discussed with my ob-gyn the homeopathic treatment I intend to use. Not sure she would approuve...
Do you think it would interfere with the antibiotics / pain killers usually administered after surgery? Should I tell her about it?
Thanks again.

I kept searching on this forum - preparing for next Monday. In one of the threads 'Arnica - Miracle remedy' of Joe De Livera, there is a post about Arnica not being recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding mothers. Is this accurate? I will breastfeed my baby. Is any of the remedies suggested not recommended in this case?
Thank you again for your time.

Beatricen

I read your reference to my website where you state that someone (not me) had to stated:
'In one of the threads 'Arnica - Miracle remedy' of Joe De Livera, there is a post about Arnica not being recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding mothers.'

I would appreciate if you will please copy and paste that post here on the ABC wiith the link to enable me to delete it from my Monograph Arnica the Miracle Remedy as it is Totally False. You will appreciate that I cannot monitor all the posts made by grateful patients a decade ago.

I have recommended Arnica in the Wet dose to many and am also taking it today as I have done for the last 17+ years nightly and I can reassure you that you can only benefit from Arnica and NOT suffer in any way from it. Please note however that you MUST follow my instructions to take it ONLY IN THE WET DOSE.

In your case since you will be in surgery shortly, I would recommend that you take Arnica 30c in the Wet dose thrice daily on the day before and take it immediately after surgery every 3 hours as it will help to stabilise the wound and will enable you to recover within 24 hours.

You may like to know that I am 84 years of age and have had major surgery 10 years ago for my Prostate and the only analgesic I used was Arnica 30 which I took in the manner recommended. You can reduce the dosage on day 3 after surgery to every 4 hours. But you can continue to take it twice daily after baby is born.

For the record I shall copy my default instructions to make the Wet dose:

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done at least 6 times before sipping a capful of the bottle as prescribed.

Dear Joe de Livera,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Yes, I read that you've been a user of arnica for so long now, and your stories convinced me to try it (I even encouraged my mother to try it for her constant back pain with no apparent cause).

Going back to your request, the post in question was in response to your original thread about the 'miracle remedy', on page 2 to be more precise. Here are the details:
Re: Arnica the Miracle Remedy - Brief case histories
From gavinimurthy on 2006-11-26
Re: Is Arnica safe for everybody? From bandarbabu2000 on 2006-10-21
Potential Dangers

OK for the wet dose then. Will proceed as indicated.

Best regards,
Beatrice

Dear Dr. Joe,

I arranged the order for the Arnica Liquid Dilution needed to prepare the WET DOSE.

Quick question however: if not able to take the WET DOSE immediately after the surgery (dr. not agreeing with) can I replace it with the dry pellets instead (easier to take without being noticed)? I still have the Arnica 200ch that I purchased originally.

Also, can I use Staphysagria at the same time with Arnica?

Sorry about all the questions - very nervous before the surgery - sleeping bad through the night (in 2 hours segments)... I guess it is normal.

Best regards,
Beatrice

I note with concern that you have not started on my Arnica therapy up to now.

You stated that you were booked in 5 days for your C section and you have only a few days more to start preparing yourself. i would suggest that you start on this therapy immediately. You may use 8 pellets in a bottle of water and you will take a dose twice daily for now and follow instructions on the day of surgery and post surgery

Yes you may take the pellets after your surgery every 2-3 hours and you will be surprised as to how free you are from any pain.

I would not recommend you use Staphysagria as I have no experience with it both pre and post surgery. I have used Arnica as prescribed myself and can vouch for its efficacy from a personal angle.

Thank you for the reference to Gavini Murthy's comments on Arnica. This was just his own opinion and did not amount to much as he was more interested in showing off his own take on classical homeopathy which I do not practice.

He was a constant detractor of almost all my posts on the ABC and other forums that I used to visit and is now not present on any today.

Dear Dr. Joe,

Much appreciated for the quick reply.

The surgery is planned for Mon, March 25.
I thought I was to start only the day before the treatment - my mistake.
I'll have the Liquid Dilution this afternoon though.

Will Arnica help with the post-surgery nausea as well? I remember from my first C-section that it was pretty bad - walking was such a challenge.

Best regards,
Beatrice

It would be of academic interest to compare your experience post surgery with your next after using my therapy aka Joepathy.

I am glad that I checked with you and discovered that you did not intend to take the Arnica till the day before when I had meant that you should take it already and I hope that you will continue to do so even after surgery and follow my example by taking it in the Wet dose nightly just once daily.

I would suggest that you visit the link below for more information:

ARNICA THE MIRACLE REMEDY
http://www.joedelivera.com/?p=66

Arnica will not help with post surgery nausea but Nat Phos 6x will. Dose 2-3 tablets after meals taken thrice daily. Nat Phos is also indicated for sea and travel sickness.

In your case you may take it prior to surgery on the day before and on the day as all it does is to accelerate the passage of food down the gut which will thereby preclude its regurgitation due to the anaesthetic. In any case you would go in for surgery without food but do take the Nat Phos 6x after the last meal as it us absolutely safe in use.

Much appreciated!

Will read the material on the link provided with great interest.

And yes, will get back to you after coming home from the surgery.

Beatrice

Hello,
10 days after the surgery, I wanted to give you an update on how it went.
I found the first week very difficult to go through. I have used Arnica 200ch dry pellets and allopathic treatment (Tylenol and Morphine). The first hours were perfect - I was feeling great and wanted to get out of bed about 6-7 hrs after the surgery. I was not allowed to - being told to wait a minimum 12 hours. Since the surgery was done at 3pm, I had to wait until the next morning - about 18 hrs. But, by morning, the pain was unbearable. I was told that it was mainly due to accumulated gas - that I had trouble to start getting it out.
On Tue, 8 days after surgery, since the pain was still present (accompagnied by a very sharp pain of the urinary tract while going to the toilet - due to the catheter) I started taking Staphysagria - was told to go with 15CH. Also, I started taking Raphanus Sativus 9CH to help me with the gas.
Now, I am mostly on homeopathic remedies (Tylenol only once a day, while Morphine was abandoned on day 5) - and the pain is well controlled.
It seemed to have been a longer recovery in comparison to my first C-section - but the worst part is over.
Very happy to have discovered Arnica - and will continue to take it on a daily basis to reap its benefits.
Thank you for all the support!
All the best
Beatrice
